Chapter 22

(yn) pov

ok. Deep breaths. Dont panic. everything is fine. You will do great. I look outside and millions of people were standing out in the sun. the fans go for miles and miles. This is probably the biggest turn out we have had so far. I remain calm even though i am super nervous. Cody walks up behind me and hugs me. 

"everything will be alright. i know there are a lot of them, but dont let that get to you." he says, swaying me a bit from side to side. I sway with him, calming down a bit more. 

"Thanks cody, i really needed that pep talk." i say, turning around and facing him, hugging him one last time. "now, lets get out there and show them what we got!" i say to him, kissing him and then walking to the opposite side of the stage, to my postition for when i come out. 

Soon we are out on stage. the boys being the first to pop in. I noticed that they seemed more energetic tonight. Cody was litteraly bouncing everywhere. Maxx was killing the drums, and zach and dan were super into their guitars. After a few songs, cody introduces me out. I walk out and go over to the microphone next to Cody's. Cody nods at me to give my introduction.

"so as you all know, I basically told my ex to give up on me, for good. Many of you have seen videos, some may not. But for the past few shows i have sang alongside cody and everyone seems to love it, so we decided to keep the set. So i hope all of you guys enjoy. " i let the guys get started, knowing the set by now, we were doing hypnotized.  Everyone knew the words by now. Hearing them  sing the words back was amazing. I didnt have to worry about me cussing either. My parents were pretty chill about it. After hypnotized we did partners in crime and diamond girl, like the last shows.

-time skip cause I feel like I get repetitive..-

The concert was over and we said goodbye to the crowd as we went backstage. Mom and dad came backstage a few minutes later.

"Hey sweetie, can we talk, like mother to daughter for a moment?"

"Sure!" I walk over to her and she takes me to a different place.

"I know it might be a hard topic, considering you sounded angry, but what did your ex do to you? You left in a hurry that night.."

"Well, um, terrence, i basically was do caught up in giving him love and attention that I became blind to his true side.. what he could do. "

"Which is..?"

I started tearing up. "he cheated on me, multiple times when I would go out.. And then, that night of my 'accident' i came home from girls night out and saw another woman on him. He had her leave, I tried to leave as well but, he had become more abusive than past times I have caught him. He pulled me back, holding my arm really tight. he kept calling me names I shouldn't say or bring up, and I told him we were only human, I asked why I wasn't good enough. He didn't answer me. All he said was 'I'm far from human' and"

My breath gets shakey "that's when he stabbed me, three times. Luckily I had you guys on speed dial so you came by pretty quick and so did the police. But that's all I remember before blacking out. I knew he would weasle his way out of jail someday.. I didnt want to take my chances, so the day I was able to leave the hospital, I moved. I went to college in cali, met my best friend izzy. I feel really bad for leaving so soon. I'm sorry mom.."

She gives me a soft look "awe baby, don't worry about us. You were protecting yourself, all we wanted was for you to be safe. Your dad always told me he had a bad feeling about him, and he was right." She hugs me tight. And paused for a moment.

"What is it?"

"does diamond girl have anything to do with it?" She asks, drawing the lines of similarities.

"I think so, cody kind of kept it hush hush for a while, but he did randomly ask about why terrence was after me. I told him parts of the story, I couldn't bring up anything else of that night without breaking down on him"

She nods, understanding what I must have went through. "Sweetie, I think you have a good one this time." she smiles.

"Considering you guys did partners in crime was adorable. I could tell he lives singing and being with you. He had that sparkle in his eyes."

"Mooommm!" I say smiling

"I'm just saying!" She laughs. I laugh with her.

"And that's also why hypnotized is also a song i do. I used it to finally tell him how I felt at one of the past concerts." She nods

"That's my girl!"

We hang out for a bit longer just talking and chatting up a storm.

Cody's POV

I had been talking to (yn)'s dad for a while, he got to knowing me better but he then started asking lots of questions.

"So you love her huh?"

"Yes sir, with all my heart"

"Hmm... Any plans for the future?"

"Um possibly, hopefully she would want to, I respect her... Why so many questions?"

"I ask the questions here. How much does she trust you?"

"A lot, she has basically told me everything she has wanted to do far, but I'm willing to wait for her decisions." I say with a nervous grin.

"Ah, don't be nervous kid. You are all good. I'm just messing with ya!" He laughs. I exhale a breath I didn't realize I was holding.

"thank god.. Cause I would never want to hurt her in any way.. If I ever did I would hate myself for it. She is amazing. Your daughter is super talented and amazing in every way."

"Take good care of her son.. She's had a rough past."

"I will sir."

"Oh please, call me (y/d/n)!"

"Okay, (y/d/n)!"

We keep on talking as we wait for her and her mom. Soon they walk over and we all exchange our goodbyes, hugging her mom and dad and getting on the bus to go to the next stop.
