Chapter 23

(yn) pov

The moment we got in the bus, I immediately went to the couch, sprawling myself out. Cody chuckles and lifts my legs up and sits down, placing my legs on his lap.  he speaks up. 

"your parents are super nice!" he says as he plays with the shoelaces on my shoes. 

"they are. Did dad give you a bunch of shit?" i ask, laughing as i speak.

"Yeah, but he was messing with me. He's pretty cool."  he smiles and looks at me. "what did you and your mom talk about?" he asks curiously.  I sighed and got serious with him, sitting up and looking him in the eyes.

"There is more to that night of the breakup with terrence than i told you about." I say to him, my voice trembling a bit, but i choked back the feeling of tears and kept a straight face. He noticed the change in my voice and became concerned.

"you dont have to tell me if you dont want to, i know it hurts you" he hold my hands in his. i shake my head.

"No. i need to tell you, i trust you fully and want you to know everything about me. even my past, even if it hurts to bring back the thought, you still need to know." i say as i trail off. I soon Bring up the courage and tell him what i had told my mom earlier in the night. 

"and thats why I used to be afraid of terrence." i say as i finish telling him the story. He instantly grabs me in a hug.  I smile and hug back, resting my head on his shoulder. 

"I know it hurts you, and I never want you to feel hurt, but thank you for telling me. Its still shocks me that you trust me with all your problems. " he says, still hugging me. 

"of course i would! Besides my parents and Izzy, you are the only other person that I truly trust.. Including the guys." I say as I hug him tighter.  After a while, we break the hug, the boys come in from playing games. 

"Hey guys!" Maxx says happily. I look up from Cody's chest and smile at them. 

"hey!" i say as i cuddle into Cody, feeling really tired. Zach notices and pipes in.

"You look exauhsted." he says as he places a blanket next to us. Cody takes the blanket and lays it across the both of us as he lets me cuddle him more. 

"yeah, i bet you guys are too." i say with a small laugh as they all nod. 

"I think we all just need some sleep right now." Cody says as he leans back and lets me lay on him.

"Night!" the others say in unison as they all get around for bed.  I fall asleep shortly after, feeling cody mess with my hair and hearing him hum.

Cody's pov

I wake up to see (y/n) still fast asleep on me. we were still on the couch, snuggled up in the blanket. She had a smile on her face, like she was satisfied. I look over to one of my bags and remember something. I wanted to give her something a couple nights ago, but i totally forgot about it since we had so much fun. I will give it to her after she gets ready for the day. 

I hear a sudden yawn, sounding like a kitten again. I look down and see her waking up. Her (e/c) eyes instantly look up at me as they flutter open. "good morning!" she says, her voice soft and whispy.  i smile down at her.

"good morning, how did you sleep?" i ask her as i look at her intently.

"better than ever, actually, if you want the truth." she states.

"thats good to hear." i say quietly. she smiles but it turns into a frown. "whats wrong?"

"today is the last show, isnt it?" she asks. i nod to confirm.

"yes, it is, trust me, im bummed about it too. But hey! We all can still hang out!" I say happilly.

"i would love that actually, espesially since ill be done with college in a couple weeks, i also transferred to online courses to make it easier." she said as she was in thought. "oh! which leaves a lot of time to hang out!" 

"awesome! im excited!" 

"me too! anyway, im gonna get ready."

"okay, oh! and when you are done  getting ready, i have something for you." she smiles and nods

"wait for me then!" she says as she gets up and dissapears into the bathroom. i sit and wait for her as she gets ready. she gets out about five minutes later and sits next to me. I stand up and grab a box from my bag. i sit back down next to her and open the box. it contained a black ring that said "i promise you forever" on it. she looks down at the ring and back up to me several times.

(y/n) pov

I couldnt belive it. i looked at the ring and then back to him several times before he spoke. 

"(y/n), you have made life so much better for me. You have brought happiness into my heart and joy into what i do. I know weve only been together for a few months but, it means a lot to have you with me. You are amazing and wonderful, beautiful and smart, talented and funny. Al the things that i belive are perfect for me." he continues. i tear up, joy and happiness radiating off of me. 

" so before i get too cheesy with this, will you promise me that we can be together forever?" i sit shocked, surprised even. i look at him with a smile and i start crying. I instantly grab him in a hug. 

"yes! god, yes! how could i say no?" i say into his shoulder.

"and with me giving you this ring, i am making a promise to you that i am going no where. you are my one and only. i promise that i will help you when you re down or troubled. i promise to keep you happy. i promise" he says, his words going by in a blurr. 

"Cody, you already do that for me anyway, and i thank you for it. " i kiss him and he kisses back. we pull away and he places the ring on my left ring finger. 

"youre welcome, i want to be the best for you." he smiles at me and i smile back. 

"and you definitly are." i say as i hug him once more. i cant wipe a smile off of my face at this point.  this is going to be wonderful.
