(Y/n) pov

I wake up in cody's arms. He has his arm wrapped around my torso, sound asleep. I giggle slightly as i turn my body to face him. I do it slowly to make sure I don't wake him. As I finish moving, he hugs me closer to him. "Morning sunshine!" He says groggily.

"I'm sorry babe.. Did I wake you?" I asked being sincere in what I said. He chuckles slightly and smiles.

"No you didn't sweety, I'm just glad to wake up to the beautiful face of my diamond girl!" He says.

"That's new.." I say smiling at him, cuddling into his chest.

"What is?" He asks in a quizitive tone.

"The nickname. Diamond girl.. I like it.. How did you come up with it?" I asked.

Cody took a moment to respond. "I'm not sure.. But that does give me an Idea." He says as he grabs his phone and writes something down real quick. I try to sneak a peak but he doesn't let me look.

"Ah ah ah.. Its a surprise!" He says, making me wonder what it was about.

Cody's POV

-flashback to midnight that night-

I had woken up to more ideas in my head. I wrote them down and finally finished the song.. I still didn't know what to call it but it would pop up eventually.

-back to normal time-

Giving her the new nickname sparked me into calling the song 'diamond girl'. Why didn't I think of that earlier? I quickly wrote it down on my phone. Then I looked at (y/n) and told her I needed to meet someone.

"Hey the boys and I need to meet up with our record label and get a new song in." I said. "It will probably take like thirty minutes to an hour, but its the surprise so are you okay with staying on the bus?" I asked trying not to sound rude.

"Sure! Its your song right? I'm not stopping you. Go ahead!" She says as she gives me a warm hug.

"Okay! Glad you understand! I had called them last night, and they wanted us to come in" I say, explaining why we needed to be there early today. She gives me one last hug and kiss.

"Go! You have a big day today!" She says as she let's me go get ready.

-time skip to at the recording studio-

"Okay so go ahead and start singing the melody and we will start there" the producer said as I put the headphones on and stated singing into the microphone.  Dan, Zach, and Maxx stated doing their thing to help the process go smoother and quicker.

"Sounds good, now I just need cody to sing backing vocals and main vocals and you will be done!" The producer says. This is going quicker than I thought. I put the headphones back on and sang the backing and main vocals and then we put it all together.

-time skip to after-

(Y/n) pov

I was just on my Instagram looking at photos when I hear the door open to the bus. "Hey we're baaaaccckk!" Maxx said as cody chuckled.

"Hey! How did it go guys?" I asked wanting some badly to know how It went.

"It went well! We already posted it, but you can't look a it because its a surprise for you. After tonight you can see it." Cody said as I fake pouted.

"Awweee but I want to listen.." I say giggling in the process.

"Its a good surprise. Trust me!" He says. I nod and grab a snack.  I sit down and watch some netflix. Cody sits next to me and cuddles on me.

"I hope you like your surprise.. I am adding a song to the setlist" he says. "And you will still be out on stage" he trails off trying not to expose the secret.  I lay my head on his as he watches netflix with me. He gets a little too into it. "Oh no the demogorgon is coming!" He says as he watches with me. I giggle when he does his little outbursts. After watching a couple episodes, we started heading down to the venue which is about and hour away from where we are now. Our next stop is ohio. My original home before I ran away from terrence. I miss my home. I told my parents about our show tonight and they had told me they got front row to the show. I got some excited.

"Cody! My parents are coming to the show tonight!" I say excited.

"That's great! I havent got to meet them yet!" He says. I kiss him on the cheek.

"Would it be fine if they came backstage after the show to meet you guys?" I asked.

"Yes of course! Of course! It would be a pleasure!" He says cutely. I giggle at him and text my parents about it

GROUP CHAT: MOM/DAD

Y: HEY! if you are able you can come backstage after the show and see all of us!

M: that would be great honey!

D: my pumpkins a star! Of course we will come and see you!

Y: 🙄 you guys are such dorks! 😂 I'll see you then!

M:see ya sweety! Gtg!

D: see ya! Love ya!

Y:love you too mom and dad!

*end text*

"They said they would be there!" I say excitedly.

"That's wonderful!" Cody and the guys say. "Speaking of.. We are here at the venue! Are you ready?" dan asks.

"Ready as I'll ever be!" I say before we all step off the bus.
