Chapter 1 - New Life, yey?

-Xandra's POV-

I don't want to get up, but I really need to use the bathroom. My bladder is about to burst.

I helped myself up and slowly got off the bed. I pushed my IV with me. Ugh, I feel like a turtle.

"Miss Xion..WTH!" The nurse walks in and her eyes were wide open.

"Yes?" I ask irritated. 

"Maam. You're not allowed to get up yet. I have to check your vitals and bp" She rushed to me and immediately held my IV.

"Wait. I just really need to use the bathroom" Anytime my bladder is going to burst.

"I'll help you maam" She pushed my IV for me.

"No it's okay. I can handle myself""But--" I immediately removed my IV from the stand and walked to the bathroom. Geez, can a girl get some privacy.

Good thing the bathroom has a stand for me to place my IV. I washed my hands after peeing and went outside.

"I'm sorry my sister's a little difficult to handle, but you shouldn't have let her go on her own" I looked out and saw my brother speaking to my nurse.

"Calvin!" I slowly walked up to him and hugged him with one hand.

"Xandra, what do you think you're doing?" He glared at me. Thank God my brother is safe.

"I will check her vitals sir and then you both can talk" He helped me up on the bed and did her stuff.

"Your vitals are normal Ms. Xion. I will call your doctor to check up on you" The nurse left us and Calvin sat on the edge of my bed.

My brother caressed my face and let out a sigh "I'm glad you're okay" I smiled a sly smile at him.

"What happened? Where are the others?" I asked. It has been 72 hours and I was just asleep. Wow, the longest sleep I ever had from my past record of 3 hours.

He took his phone out and dialed a number. "Sawyer? Get us some sushi and chicken soup. Thanks" He took his phone down and looked at me.

"After that bastard got hold off you I rushed over to help, but I was too late" His voice trails off. "The next thing I know is that the grenade exploded and you were flying off"

I try to remember the memory. Yes, a dunk head did go to me. Stupid, he was ruining my plan.

"The explosion killed the dunk head and two of his companions. Our team retreated and rushed you here. You were so lucky to be alive Xandy" There were tears in his eyes. Oh no, I don't want to see my brother cry.

"I don't want to loose anyone again" My brother and I are the only ones left. Our parents died at a mission they did at the time when I was only 2. 

I clutched his hand. "I'll be okay bro. Don't worry about me, I can handle myself just like I always do"

He looked at me as if I'm an idiot. "No, you are not doing this again"

Wait, what? What does he mean? Oh no.

"You are going to the Philippines and live forget all about these spy stuff" WHAT! NO WAY!

"You can't do this to me! I love doing this, this is what I was born to do. This is what mom and dad wants me to do!" I glared at him. No way am I leaving this. I just can't. What about Liam?

"The decision is final Xandra. You are going to take Sawyer with you and go to college" I slammed my arm without the IV and glared at him.

"You're going to live a normal life, be just like any other girl out there. You are going to be fine. I'm not risking loosing anyone again." He smiled at me and patted my head. "Do this for me, please?"

I mentally slapped myself. I can't do this, this is unfair. But he's my brother after all and I have to follow him. "Okay" I whispered.

"Good" He grinned. A tall guy entered our room.

"Ms. Xion? I'm Doctor Gonzales, Kelly's father" He smiled at us. Kelly is my brother's girlfriend.

He checked my injuries and my IV. "You're healing quite fast Ms. Xion. That's a good sign"

Sawyer enters the room with food. Sushi! My eyes twinkled as I smelled its aroma.

"Food?" Doctor Gonzales asked us. I nodded and grinned at him.

"Here's the sushi and chicken soup you ordered sir" Sawyer placed the food in the table and opened them up.

"Ms. Xion, you should only eat the broth for now, nothing heavy" My mouth dropped open. Darn it! I'm hungry!

"I'll check your vitals this evening and if they are good, you should check out the day after tomorrow. If you'll excuse me" Dr. Gonzales bowed and left us.

I smiled and reached for my chopsticks but my brother reached for the sushi. "What do you think you're doing? The doctor said no sushi, just the broth" I rolled my eyes at him and tossed away the chopsticks and started digging on my soup.

We arrived at 3:00 pm here in Manila. I miss my team already, my brother, Liam... This is so annoying.

Sawyer got our things and placed them on the car and drove to our new home. Great, just great.
