The guys are gathering firewood for our campfire in the evening and I was just enjoying the saltiness of the sea.
I sat down on the sand and started to dig a hole so the water can go through it. I use to enjoy these things as a child, when I used to drag my brother every afternoon to take me to the beach.
"Need some company?" I turned around and saw Clyde hovering over me.
"Sure" He sat down beside me and stared at the sea.
We were silent for a few moments and then he finally spoke up.
"The beach is beautiful right?"
I stared at him. "Don't go all poetic on me now"
He laughed and scratched his head. "I thought girls like these kind of stuff"
I snorted and continued to dig a hole. "Well, I guess I'm not one of those girls you're talking about"
He patted my head, "Yeah, I guess you are different"
"Glad that I am" I smiled at him and stared at the sun.
He sighed and stared on the sky. "You have to admit, this beach is beautiful. It can be calm and gentle, soothing your worries, erasing your fears. And then, when you're least expecting it, it can turn wild and raging, pulling you under leaving you without air."
"When you say those things, I guess the beach is a beautiful thing" I sighed and layed down on the sand.
"Yeah, kind of like you" He stared at me as drips of water from his hair touched my face.
What the crap! He likes me?
He tucks a strand of hair behind my ear and starts to inch his face closer to mine.
WTF! NO! NO!
I stared at him wide eyed and he suddenly laughed out loud and started hugging his tummy like a maniac.
"Oh men! You should have seen your face! It was epic!" He wiped tears from his eyes and started to control his breathing.
I punched him in the shoulder and he flinched.
"That wasn't funny!" I rolled my eyes.
"And that hurt a lot." He rubbed his shoulder and sat down properly.
"You know I was only practicing with you"
"You're trying to use me as an experiment or something?" He laughed again and I put my fist in the air in an attempt to punch him then he immediately raised his hands in mid air.
