Jeongin - Thunder & Lightning

You were energetically dancing around your house while waiting for Jeongin to knock on the door. Your mom was out on a business trip so you decided to have a movie night with Jeongin since she wouldn't have the opportunity to tell him any embarrassing stories from when you were little or embarrass you in any other way. And you didn't want to go outside, since the sky was covered in grey clouds. You were currently blasting THE BOYZ' 《D.D.D》 through the speakers as you sung along, not matching their tone at all. You didn't care though, as you were just having fun and needed to release some energy. The chorus came and you basically screamed “Dance dance dance dance” as you did their point choreography in the middle of your living room. There was finally a knock on door, meaning Jeongin had arrived.

The “uh~“ part came up and you sung along as you opened the door for him, he was already used to seeing your crackhead self anyways. It was actually one of the things he loved about you, how you were so carefree and always acted like yourself. He let himself into the kitchen and grabbed a coke. While you tried rapping along to Sunwoo's part. Jeongin went and got your laptop as he went to your bedroom and sat on your bed, leaning up against your wall. You did the same, giving him a pillow, as well as getting one for yourself. You put on the series the two of you were currently watching together and put your head on his shoulder, snuggling a little into his neck.

Three episodes in you started hearing the sound of the rain, it was very loud, but you liked it. The sound of raindrops hitting the ground somehow comforted you in a weird way, it made you feel relaxed. You were on your way to fall asleep on Jeongin's shoulder when you heard a loud thunder outside before a quick lightning was seen. You lightly jumped in the bed before grabbing the duvet, sending your computer flying and pulling it over yourself. You covered your ears with your hands, but could still lightly hear the sounds of thunder that was right over your house by now. The sound made you give out a light shriek, as you literally hated thunder and lightning. You had a bad memory of it from your childhood and you had hated it ever since. You had never told Jeongin about your fear of lightning before, it just hadn't popped up in your conversations before so you hadn't mentioned it. Especially since it made you seem like a coward.

“What are you doing?” Jeongin asked, curious about your sudden actions. You didn't answer. Another thunder went off making you lightly shriek again, trying to cover your ears more and started to sing lalala loudly to cover the sounds of thunder. Jeongin realised what was going on and lifted the duvet a little, in an attempt to get eye contact with you. “Are you afraid of lightning?” He asked in a comforting tone, and not in the mocking way you had expected him to say it. Just as he had finished his sentence you could see the lightning strike, from the little part of the window you could see because of the little part of the duvet Jeongin had lifted. You attempted to cover the both of you so he could talk to you, without you having to see the lightning strikes.

“I'll take that as a yes.” He said and grabbed you by the sides of your shoulders and pulling you closer to his chest. He started stroking your back while giving kisses to the top of your head. His actions made you immediately calm down. He started singing a ballad to you making you focused on his voice, to the point where you couldn't even notice the thunder that was going on outside. He sung for you for a couple of minutes and by now you were almost asleep, your head against his chest, taking in his comforting, warm scent while listening to his steady heartbeat. He took the duvet off of you both making you panic. You were about to pull it back over you when you realised both the thunder and lightning had stopped.

“Wait. When did the storm stop? How did I not notice?” You asked Jeongin sleepily. It stopped about halfway through my third ballad.” He said smiling. “Yang Jeongin, you're the best distraction in this world.” You said. “I'll take that as a compliment.” He said stroking your cheek. “Good, that's what it was intended as.” You said pecking his cheek.
