prompt: david accidentally spills his biggest secret

david didn't just have a simple crush on you, no, he was infatuated with you. every little detail of your face and personality caused him to fall deeper into this rabbit hole. no knew of davids crush on you, and he was going to keep it that way.

"hey david!"
[name] greeted.

"hi [nickname]!"
david greeted back happily.

[name] plopped down on the couch next to david, while the rest of their friend group followed behind.

"no "hi guys?" you only greet [name], now?"
zane scoffed, causing everyone else to laugh.

"i mean, she is my favorite person.."
david remarked goofily.

[name] giggled as david wrapped his arm around her and pulled him into his chest.

everyone sat around for what felt like hours, all chatting and laughing. soon enough, someone very special to david had to leave.

"welp...i better go. i've got to clean my apartment, i've been putting it off for weeks."
[name] sighed, reluctantly pulling away from davids chest.

"bye guys!"
[name] said, waving slight after she grabbed her stuff.

as soon as [name] had left the house, david sighed lightly and dazed.

20 minutes later, david still seemed dazed off and was frowning slightly.

"what's the matter with you?"
carly spoke up.

david snapped out of his trance and looked towards carly.

"yeah, ever since [nickname] left you've been all mopey and spaced out."
scott added.

"i-i dunno"
david stuttered.

"you like her or something?"
zane laughed.

david gulped and his eyes grew wide.

everyone noticed this and started to freak out.

"holy shit! he does!!"
zane screamed.

davids face flushed a bright shade of red as the rest of his friends were practically celebrating.

"you owe me 10 dollars!"

"i knew it!"

"how did we not see this?"

"why didn't you tell us?"

david was being bombarded with questions.

suddenly, a knock on the door and a quick shout of a "hey!" came through the house. everyone was dead silent as they watched [name] walk back into the house.

"i made it all the way back to my apartment—which is 10 fucking minutes away—and realized i left my phone here."
[name] laughed at herself, which caused david to chuckle slightly.

everyone, as if on queue, looked at david. then to [name]. then back at david.

"what did i walk in on?"
[name] quietly mumbled.

everyone was on the furniture and had been bouncing across the room, with a flustered and red david in the midst of all of it.

"uh..."
natalie started,

she glanced at david, who was giving her a look, begging her not to say anything about what just happened.

"nothing, just david being a dumbass, as usual."
natalie finished.

[name] giggled, causing david to sigh in relief as she bought natalies bullshit.

"well, sorry for disrupting! i'll be going again."
she nervously apologized.

she quickly ran up towards david and gave him a hug before waving to everyone and leaving.

as soon as the door clicked shut everyone started going apeshit.

"you should ask her out!!!!"
everyone blurted.

"i-i dunno guys, she probably doesn't see me like that."
he mumbled.

"and? first of all, she obviously likes you back. second of all, if she doesn't? at least you tried because you never know!!!"
erin exclaimed.

"how would i even ask her out?"
david sighed.

"i dunno, maybe like "hey [nickname] wanna fuck?"
zane said in a silly voice.

"no! definitely not!"
david stammered as everyone laughed.

[name] smiled with her back pressed against the front door. she didn't mean to ease drop on her friends conversations, but when they started yelling as soon as she left, it was kind of hard not to. her heart fluttered as she walked back to her car, wondering how and when david would finally ask her out. she liked david.

maybe i'll do a part 2? not sure yet, and i would only do it if y'all wanted it soooo:)
