You Gone Learn Today...

She say she was ready to try the world on.

Lil did she know how cold it can be.

She stepped out just to get her "doin me" on.

And forgot how she lived comfortably.

Ain't nothin in these streets.

I been there and done a lot.

I know it's your curiosity.

But you really need to wake up and see what you got.

A man that's stands before you. 

Have watched you grow with my love.

I've tried to repress my feelings and let you learn.

But it gets hard when push turns to shove.

I can't help but step in and still try and protect you.

I've accepted the fact that you may never comeback,

But still my love for you is pure and true.

I can't judge you by your present or your past.

As long as you get it right somewhere along the way

And make your first your last.

Life is all about learning and growth. 

But how can you learn if you don't experience things.

Just wish you'd listen to me when I tell you.

The world can be so cruel and mean.

I fear you're not yet done learning. 

And I hope you make it through. 

I just pray you come out with your life. 

And I'll be open armed waiting on you
