While you walked with Christa and Anne to find Zerina, you listened to Christa's explanation to who the Spriggan 12. At least you were learning more about the unit Zeref had to protect him. You wondered why he would even need these mages if Zeref was powerful himself.

"And that's about it. I know only five Spriggan 12 members and their powers, but I don't know much about the other ones."

She shrugged her shoulders lazily after explaining a few members of the Spriggan 12. "Not to mention Christa has a crush on Larcade-sama from the Spriggan 12~" Anne chirped when she noticed Christa flinch when Anne mentioned his name along with being flustered. You could already tell she was blushing when she sent Anne a death glare. 

"I do not! Just because I respect him doesn't mean I have a crush on him!"

Christa cried out, waving her arms around as she tried to prove her point. Just the way she acted and said made you and Anne smirk even more. "Wipe that grin off your faces! I stand by what I said!" Christa huffed, crossing her arms across her chest. Little did she know was that you noticed a man escorting Zerina towards you.

Anne covered her mouth to prevent herself from laughing when she pointed at Larcade to let Christa know he was behind her. "Have a crush on who?" Larcade asked, tilting his head to the side innocently. You covered your mouth as well with your hand to prevent yourself from laughing when you saw Christa's eyes widen in shock.

To you, she looked like a deer caught in headlights by the way she reacted to his question. "Y/n! There you are! Larcade was nice enough to lead me to you guys!" Zerina ran towards you, wrapping her arms around you as she rested her head against your chest. You decided you would scold her later, but you couldn't stay angry at her forever.

Sure, this was your first time staying at a palace in a different nation, but you didn't blame her for wanting to explore. "Nothing you need to worry about! Say, don't you have a meeting to go to now that His Majesty is back?" Christa crossed her arms again, raising an eyebrow as she grinned at Larcade playfully.

When Larcade realized she was right, he nervously rubbed the back of his neck, smiling faintly at the four of you looking at him. "Y-Yes. Please excuse me." Larcade smiled before walking past you, excusing himself. Honestly, you could see why Christa would be attracted to him. You sensed he was a kind soul, but his magic was far more powerful than yours.

That's what surprised you the most. It was no wonder he was in the Spriggan 12. You decided it was none of your business to stick your nose into someone's love life, but that didn't mean you would tease Christa for the hell of it. 

As much as she tried to hide her love for him, you could tell her dark coffee-colored eyes revealed a passion you recognized. Once you and Anne looked at each other, you grinned as two devil horns appeared on your heads. 

Oh, how great minds think alike.

"Oh my. It seems Christa is in love, Y/n~" Anne chirped, joining her arm with yours as you returned the grin as well. "Oh yes! It seems Christa might become a princess if she marries Larcade~" When Christa caught on to your teasing, she sent both of you a death glare, her cheeks flushing a bright red.

"Shut it! I am not in love! You two are delusional!"

Christa cried out, crossing her arms across her chest as she began to pout childishly when you and Anne were teasing her. "Yeah, yeah. You're seriously in love with him, Christa. Even I can see it." You laughed when Christa sent you another death glare, while Zerina remained oblivious to your conversation.
