Complications

Ever since the wedding, Zeref knew most of the Spriggan 12 were suspicious of you. Larcade didn't mind your presence, as he enjoyed speaking with you. He did find you to be great company whenever Christa was busy doing her duties. He was always the one to come to you when he needed your advice, especially when it came to his beloved.

Even when you were married to Zeref, some of the Spriggan 12 members did not fully respect you. They had always believed you were incapable of running the empire in Zeref's place. Just because you were Acnologia's daughter, some were terrified of your power while the rest wanted to take advantage of you. They viewed you as a weapon even when you were their empress now. As Zeref sat in the meeting room, he listened to the Spriggan 12's suggestions about how to take Lumen Histoire as they were planning to attack Ishgar soon.

Even when you could be an advantage to defeat Acnologia, Zeref refused to use you as a tool. You were more than to him. You were precious to him even when you both went through a lot to be together. He loved you too much to let you go like that. He could never bring himself to use you that way.

"Your Majesty, the empress could provide us an advantage to this invasion, as she is Acnololia's daughter. I sense a great amount of magic in her. She can assist us in this operation." Invel suggested. Zeref looked over to Invel as he narrowed his eyes at him. "I would appreciate it if you would not use your empress as a tool. We will continue as we plan. We will invade Ishagar without having to involve Y/n." 

Once Zeref was satisfied with Invel's startled reaction, he hoped that would keep his mouth shut. "Please forgive me, Your Majesty." Dimaria looked over to Zeref, raising an eyebrow at Invel's accusation of you being Acnologia's daughter. Now, this was interesting news to her. 

"The daughter of Acnologia? The dragon we're trying to eliminate? Your Majesty, is it safe to have her on the throne?" Dimaria asked as she showed a slight concern of your presence, "She could cause the downfall of the empire!"

Zeref understood why they were worried, but he also didn't want them to underestimate you. He knew you couldn't activate most of your powers, especially your dragon force, but he didn't want the Spriggan 12 to take advantage of you.

"They're right, Your Majesty. Y/n could provide us a chance to invade Ishagr as well as exterminate Acnologia. She has the power to go against him."

Irene advised, looking over to Zeref when she knew she struck a nerve on him, "It would be best if you didn't include your feelings into this extermination, Your Majesty. I am only suggesting she would be a great tool to use in this invasion."

She smiled innocently. She sensed that he didn't want to use you in this war. Irene was planning on dragging you into this way herself, but it would also give the empire an advantage if they were going against your home. She knew Zeref didn't want to include you in this invasion. Yes, he kept this invasion from you, but he needed to remove Acnologia from existence. 

"As much as Y/n is powerful, we will obtain Fairy Heart instead to eradicate Acnologia. We will not use her as a pawn in this war."

Zeref answered sternly, pinching the bridge of his nose. In time, he would tell you about this invasion, but he knew how you felt about Fairy Tail. He couldn't just go up to you and tell you his plan. He knew what your reaction would be if he told you his plan. "Fairy Heart will be our best option. We failed to receive Fairy Heart during our first invasion, but we will not fail this time. All of you are dismissed for now."
