She was gorgeous. There was no other way to describe her. She just had a majestic aura as she ran around on the field. But more than that, she was built as a pure jumper, her powerful legs, and her big elegant galop. And the energy she showed as she played with the brown horse.
The brown horse also looked like a jumper, but not as much as Banshee did. The brown looked to be more of an allrounder, with a little less attitude than what Banshee seemed to have, judging from the way she acted while playing around.
"Who owns her?" I asked Juan while I kept staring at her mesmerized.
"I do." I wiped my head around to look at him.
"You?" I didn't fully believe him, I knew that he always wanted another horse so that he could compete more, but didn't have the time right now.
"Yes, me. I own both of them."
I looked at him like he had two heads. "you're not kidding." I stated. Juan always had a special glint in his eyes when he was pranking or joking someone and right now it wasn't there. "You are seriously not kidding." I breathed out.
"Nope, they are mine" He smiled. "Well, carl co-owns them"
"Where in the holy world did you find them?" I was still stunned, not only that he owned them, but also how good they looked, skill-wise.
"With a man that couldn't care less about what happened to them. They had no water left or any shelter in their pen. They were even thinner than they are now" Juan looked angry even though they no longer were in that situation.
"Seriously? who could do that to horses?"
"Many, unfortunately. They were also the reason I didn't visit you at the hospital. I was on my way to you when I saw them and I couldn't leave them." He looked at me sadly, like he still thought that I would be angry at him for not visiting me.
"I understand that. And you did the right thing." I smiled at him. "I would have done the same"
"Yeah, you would have" Juan give me a goofy grin.
"Yeah, I would..." I starred at the pen where Banshee and the brown horse was grazing peacefully und the hot sun. "Well on another note, is it okay if I come and visit Banshee again?" I looked over at Juan. I was hopeful that he was okay with me visiting her.
"Of course you can visit her." He said with the classical duh look. "I would be more than happy if you would come and visit, especially if you want to help me out. It is some work to care for three horses when you are only one man." Juan grins.
I went over and hugged him "Thank you"
"Everything for you" He smiled back at me.
"Calla, we need to go, if we are going to make it to McDonald's before we have to be home," Xaiver said softly, gesturing to the car in the parking lot.
"Okay. I will come back sometime this week I think" I offered Juan a soft smile.
"Okay, I will be waiting for your help" Juan winked at me.
I glanced at the pen where Banshee was grazing without a care in the world before I turned around and started to walk back to the car with Jake and Xavier right behind me.
We were headed towards McDonald when I softly said: "Thank you for convincing me to go."
"Always sis," Jake turned around to look at me while Xavier glanced at me in the rear-view mirror from his position behind the wheel. "We are family, and family helps each other," Xavier said.
"Besides, you looked like you could use a little outing and some good food" Jake grinned.
I gave them a quiet laugh "I don't know when Mcdonalds became good food." I smiled.
"It may not be good for your body, but for your mind and heart, it is magificant" Jake heartily laughed.
"That is as true as it becomes," I answered. I looked out of the window and let my mind wander while looking at the trees and field that flew by, while we headed to our next destination.
My mind wandered to a special someone. I couldn't stop thinking about her. Since earlier today she has been on my mind non-stop. I couldn't stop thinking about her confident way of carrying her self, her powerful legs that kept her going forward and that made her able to turn on a dime. Her slim but beautifully built body that shined under the hot blazing sun.
She was everything I ever wanted in a horse. Yes I loved Blaze, I still do, but I had always thought that there was missing something. I knew that she wasn't my soulmate.
But I knew now, Banshee, Banshee was my soulmate...
