CHAPTER 2 - Just a sprint in the park

When the bell rang I was the first one out of my seat, I bolted through the door and ran all the way down to the gym, where the club even was being hosted. After a while I relaxed, I hadn't seen Gene around, I was pretty sure he was going to kill me.
I wandered around a few of the club's but I didn't really see one which i liked the look of, My main hobby was writing, but I didn't like the idea of other people reading my stories.
"Hey Y/n! How was homeroom?" I heard, I looked to see Laurence standing behind a stall for the soccer team I had almost forgotten that he was the team captain.
I walked over.
"Homeroom was... Good?" I said.
"You don't sound too sure about that." Laurence said.
"I'm very sure!" I said, "how was homeroom for you?"
"Eh, it was ok." Laurence said.
Time skip - next weekend
Laurence and Garroth had planned to go to the park for a few hours with a friend from school so I decided to go as well.
About half an hour after we arrived a short girl with black hair and brown eyes Appeared.
"Laurence! Garroth!" She shouted, running over.
"Hey Aph!" Said Laurence. "This is my sister, Y/n, Y/n, this is Aphmau."
"Hi!" I said with a small wave.
"H-hi!" She replied with a smile.
We all walked through the park untill Garroth had to go, leaving just the three of us, we had stopped by a bench and I was looking around when I saw three people tagging the bridge, with the logo Laurence had showed me.
"Laurence, Shadow Knights." I said. Just then, Gene turned to look at us, he looked straight at me
"Oh hey! Look at the time! I best be off! Bye!" I yelled before I sprinted out of the park.
I arrived back home and played minecraft on my laptop, waiting for my brother to come home and ask me a billion questions about why I ran off in the park today.
"Why did you run off when you looked at Gene?" Laurence asked me as soon as he came in the door. I just ignored him and continued playing on my laptop. he sat on the sofa next to me and slowly closed my laptop.
"Go away." I said.
"Not until you answer my question." Laurence replied.
"Fine! Gene sits next to me in homeroom, I don't talk to him or anything-" I was interrupted.
"WHY WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO SIT NEXT TO HIM!?" Laurence yelled.
"Oh my Irene shut up and let me finish!" I replied. Laurence looked annoyed but didn't yell anymore, "I got there first, there were only two seats left available, I didn't know he would come in."
"But that-" Laurence said, I made a zip motion across my lips.
"Not done. ANyway, you know that thing I did in middle school? where I'd yell about legal documents-" I trailed off.
"Yes I remember."
"Well I may have -Accidentally- done that to Gene..." I said,
"You WHATT!" Laurence almost screamed. I heard footsteps and our sister, Cadenza came downstairs.
"Why in Irene's name are you screaming Laurence?" She asked.
Laurence let out a stream of sounds, Cadenza just shook her head.
"Y/n, could you help get dinner ready for when mum and dad get home?" she asked.
"Sure." I replied, getting up and going into the kitchen.
