Why is that,
Whenever you speak to me,
It sounds like a sweet, enchanting melody,
Luring me, like a moth attracted to flame?
Why is that,
Whenever you coaxed me,
It tasted like poisoned honey,
Slowly, but inevitably killing me with your sweetness?
Why is that?
Whenever you smile at me,
It makes the butterflies in my tummy flutter wildly,
But with time, die of exhaustion?
Why is that,
I still trust you,
After the lies you spurt, rooting from the broken promises,
As if your promises are like glow sticks- made to be broken?
Why is that,
Even with the hurt of your betrayal scourging me from inside out,
And the catastrophe that you befell on me,
Foolishly,
I still love you?
I am tired,
Stop this.
Please.
