(Park Y/n's POV)

Y/n: "This can't be happening." I whispered, reading over the headlines.

"Jeon Jungkook of Jeon Corporation ditched and then hitched!" I gulped as I read it again. Was my marriage on the front page? Already? My mind didn't even have the time to comprehend all of this, though, 'Jeon Corporation' sounded familiar to me. I could feel that it starting to become a bit hard to breathe, especially with his eyes on me. Slowly, I looked past the paper to meet his eyes. They showed regret and apology, yet agitation.

Y/n: "How did they find out?" I asked, still not sure that it was the best question to ask. It was just what came out. He didn't look away from my eyes.

Jungkook: "I'm not sure." The scowl that was on the paper matched the look he held now. He wasn't happy about this either.

Y/n: "That's it, then?! We can't do anything to stop this?!" I pushed again

Y/n: "That's it, then?! We can't do anything to stop this?!" I pushed again. Jungkook finally broke eye contact and ran his hand through his hair.

Jungkook: "We can't. I can't. This isn't a good time." he told me. His voice was hard. I tried not to grow angry but slipped out.

Y/n: "This wasn't a good time to get married to a stranger either!" His eyes darted right back to mine, aflame. I gulped again as he rose to his feet, towering over me like a statue.

Jungkook: "Do you think I want to be married to you?! Do you think I want my life judged and posted for all to see, at a moment's notice?! I just got rejected by the woman I thought I loved and was about to marry! And here I am, hitched to another woman I don't even know! Do you think that makes me feel good?! Especially knowing that everyone knows, and my career will take a hit for it?!" He ripped the paper from my hands and I took a step back in fear. The anger he was showing was just like the anger that man showed before he threatened to kill me. Tears pricked my eyes and I tried to push them back.

(Jeon Jungkook's POV)

Anger filled me.

I wasn't mad at her, but at the who mistake. I can't believe how stupid I was to marry this woman, and I know I wasn't in my right mind. I threw the paper onto the table and glared at her. I froze. A single tear fell down her cheek. I felt horrible. I could see hoe she took a few steps away from me and how fear had once again filled her eyes. Did I scare her that badly? This wasn't her fault. It was mine. This was my problem, not hers. Sadly, I had to keep her around and involved until things cooled down.

Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes and tried to relax. I hated doing this, but I couldn't have her looking at me like that. I opened my eyes and met her gaze.

Jungkook: "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you...or make you cry." I told her, trying not to sound too harsh. It was hard when I had such a scruffy voice. "I won't hurt you at all, this is just an overwhelming predicament."

Y/n: "For us, both." she gently added. I nodded, agreeing.

Jungkook: "For now, we should just stay married. Once things cool down, I'll see if we can get this whole thing annulled. I can't afford another hit to my reputation, especially right now." I told her and then felt a nagging feeling to say more. "Is that alright?" Y/n didn't look away from me but stood at her ground regardless of the unsure look in her eyes.

Y/n: "No, not really." My heart sunk at her words. Was she not going to help- "I do understand, though. If you need to hold of oni it, then I'll go along for a little while." Then she finally broke eye contact.

Jungkook: "No." I demanded and stopped her short. I watched her shoulders rise slightly in shock at my tone and word. I needed to work on that if I was to ever really find someone to be with. Would a woman just always hunch away in fear of me? I just didn't know how to be around a woman. "I want you to stay here," I told her gently. Her brows raised in curiosity and doubt, which I admit I found a bit cute.

This time though, I was in control. The tear on her cheek caught my eyes and I focused on my attention on it. I frowned that I put that there. Slowly, I reached up without thinking and reverently wiped the tear away with my thumb. Surprise filled me as I felt her skin. It was softer than I imagined. Well, honestly I hadn't imagined it too much considering I didn't love her or even like her in that way. A smirk played on my face once I heard her breath hitch. Finally, I removed my hand and looked back into her eyes. They were filled with confusion, as well as ...longing?

Jungkook: "You'll be safe with me here. In return of you helping me by stating married for a short time, I want you to stay here so I can keep you safe from that man. Does that sound reasonable?" She bit her lip which made her look cuter.

Y/n: "That's all that required of me? To just be married to you?" her voice came out softer.

Jungkook: "Yes. As long as it helps my reputation, for now, that's all." Y/n sighed.

Y/n: "Ok, then. That sounds reasonable." I let out a breath, not realizing how much I felt relieved that she agreed. I nodded and then reached into my back pocket of my jeans and pulled out my wallet. She furrowed her brows in confusion again.

Jungkook: "Is there anything important you need from your apartment? Y/n stiffened a bit.

Y/n: "No. I just don't have any of my clothes." I nodded and opened my wallet, grabbing a credit card and then holding it out to her.

Jungkook: "Here, take this and go shopping. I don't want you going back to your apartment just yet."

Y/n: "Wait...you want me to take that-" she pointed to the card in my hand. "-and get a new wardrobe?" Her eyes came up and searched mine for answers. Ahh, she loved shopping too, then. I could see the hope now starting to show. I guess I found something in common that both Y/n and Jiyeon (ex-fiance) liked. Maybe I could do something good for her.

Jungkook: "Yes. Take this, go to town and get yourself some new clothes, so you won't have to worry about sorting through mine every day. A blush instantly found her face and I couldn't help but smirk at the thought of her showing up to work for Namjoon with my clothes on her.

Y/n: "Right." she took the card and looked away in embarrassment. "Thank you." A small smile formed on my face.

Jungkook: "Of course. I wouldn't want the new Mrs.Jeon to be out in public without style."
