Triggerwarning suicide (nothing really detailed)

He was going to die.

He was finally going to die.

Billy's thoughts were racing as he laid on the ground, spitting blood onto the ground as his father kept kicking him in the face. Everything seemed to be in a haze, like he was in a high. An extremely painful one.

He could hear Max crying and screaming in the background, begging for Neil to stop kicking and beating the boy and his heart ached. He loved Max more than anything but letting her see him like this, that was something else.

"Please Neil, stop! Stop please!" Max cried out, her voice hoarse from her tears and the screaming. "Get your damn kid out of here, Susan!" Neil yelled as he turned around, heavily breathing as he looked at the crying redhead.

"Please please stop, please stop." Max repeated as she let herself fall down next to her bleeding brother when Neil finally took a break from beating him. She protectively embraced Billy in her arms, sobbing. "Please stop, please please stop." She muttered over and over again, pulling Billy as close to her as she could. And even a tears escaped from Billy's eyes.

"I didn't know what to do, I'm sorry." Max said as she had finally stopped crying. Neil had left somewhere but honestly no one cared. "What do you-" Billy stopped his slurred words as he saw a brunette boy and a bunch of teenagers standing in front of him. "Are you okay?" Steve asked, crouching down to him. "Get the fuck away from me." Billy said, trying to scoot himself away from Steve.

He didn't even want to see him, nor let him touch him. He didn't want Steve when he was broken the most. It'd only let him fall even harder than he already did. Letting Steve see Billy vulnerable was something else. It wasn't the 'bad boy' he knew, this wasn't the teenage boy that cared so hard about himself he could be a narcissist. No, this was the boy that just wants to be held by someone he loves and cares about him. But Billy knew that that wasn't Steve.

It was all fun and games between them. No feelings. And this would only bring feelings up.

"Don't fucking touch me!" Billy yelled, his throat hurting from the sudden yell, making the kids and Steve flinch. "Please just let me help you, god fucking damnit!" Steve basically begged on his knees beside Billy to just help him. "I don't need your fucking help, Harrington." Billy muttered angrily and with a groan he pulled himself up by the dresser. Billy swayed a bit as he tried to gain his balance. His face was messed up, it'd probably be black and blue by tomorrow and it was literally covered in blood.

"What happened?" Steve asked, sighing as he just sat down onto the dresser in Billy's room. Not touching him. Not helping him. He couldn't force himself onto Billy. "Nothi-" "His father happened." Max said, her eyes still bloodshot and teary. Billy groaned loudly. "Your father did this?" Mike asked shocked as he leaned against the doorframe of Billy's small room. "Yeah and it isn't the first time." Max said, leaning against Lucas. She seemed worn out.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Steve asked, crossing his arms as he stood in front of the Californian boy. Steve almost looked like a judging mom. The room was empty besides the two glaring at each other. "Because it's none of your fucking business." Billy said, clenching his jaw as he held onto his closet for support. "Oh, it is my business." "Since fucking when?" "Probably since the day you decided to step into my life?" Billy was once again fuming with anger against the brunette. "I didn't step into your fucking life! You decided to be the one throwing himself at me like I was some kind of prey and you were the one encouraging me to come back every-fucking-time. You remember, all fucking fun and games? Yeah fun and games and not you snooping around in my life or what is fucking going on behind closed doors!" Billy rambled, angry. Steve was dumbfounded.

Steve didn't know if he had thought there might've been more than just this whole fun and games thing. Or maybe he thought that they were something like friends with benefits?

"I thought there was something like a friendship between us, but I guess I was wrong." Steve said, rather quietly compared to Billy's anger filled words. "Sorry for giving a fuck about you and me being worried about you. Making sure that doesn't happen again." Steve said, before he turned around and left the room, going past the group of confused kids and outside the house.

And once again a tear rolled down Billy's cheek. Frustration came up inside of him and before he could think properly his fist collided with the mirror, shattering it.

He wasn't in the mood to see himself anymore anyway.

"Where are you going?" Max asked confused and irritated as she followed the obviously hurt boy outside. "Somewhere and nowhere." Billy grinned at the girl. But it wasn't real. It was like a bad bad mask someone had made, but something was off. "Billy please, you're scaring me." She said, once again her eyes tearing up.

Bad thoughts ran through her head.

Very bad ones.

Max had never talked about anyone about this. The reason her mother even started dating Neil.

(TRIGGERWARNING)

Her father had killed himself in their basement with a shotgun. It had scarred her for life since she was the on finding him, barely at the age of 6. She never got that image of her fathers lifeless body out of her head. So it scared her when Billy talked like this, acted like this.

(TRIGGERWARNING END)

"I'm not gonna do something to myself, Max." Billy sighed, his not bleeding hand ruffling trough her red hair. Billy had realized that he had probably scared her but he really didn't mean to. "I just need some time alone, some me time, Alright?" Billy sighed, looking into her teary eyes which almost broke his heart. She nodded before she hugged him tightly around his waist. "I love you Billy." It was almost like a whisper, but still loud enough for him to hear. "I love you too, Max."
