"This is it, Billy." Max smiled, fixing the tie of the older one. "Today's the day you're getting married." She smiled as she looked up at her brother, a smile on his face as he looked at himself in the mirror. "How did y'all managed to stay together for this long anyway?" Robin asked, a friend Steve and Billy had made on their journey. "Shut up." He laughed as he fixed his already styled hair. A habit that has never changed. "Do you really think that he wants to get married?" Billy asked, getting second thoughts. "You have been dating since 1985! You have two children?! You've been engaged for 25 years?!" El said as if Billy was the most stupid man walking on earth right now. "Just making sure." He sighed.
God, his nerves weren't even there anymore. He was so nervous, he didn't even know why. Him and Steve have been dating for three decades now, and his heart was still fluttering every time he heard his angelic voice. His feelings were like when he was a teenager, like they've been on a high for 30 years now. And god, he hoped this feeling would never change.
"Steve! What's happening?" Dustin asked, panicking himself as he saw the man, who never lost his beautiful hair, trashing the room they had been staying in. "I can't find the rings, god fucking damn it! I ruined the whole-" "Steve." "No! I-" "Steve!" "Dustin-" "STEVE!" "WHAT?" The older one said now, turning around to the man. "They're on the dresser." Dustin sighed, making Steve breath out in relieve. "Don't stress yourself too much, alright?" Dustin said, his hand patting Steve's shoulder as he sat down with a sigh, looking at himself in the mirror. "What if Billy decides he doesn't love me anymore one day?" Steve said, and he wasn't the only one with doubts. "Listen you dumbass. You both have the strongest bond I've ever witnessed between two human beings, okay? Billy would never leave you for someone else and you wouldn't leave him for someone else. We all know that and you guys know that too and your daughters know that too." Dustin said, reassuring the brunette. "Thank you."
"Do you, William Hargrove, take Steve Harrington as your lawfully wedded Husband?"
"Yes, I do."
"Do you, Steve Harrington, take William Hargrove as your lawfully wedded Husband?"
"Yes, I do."
"By the power vested in me by the State of California, I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may kiss the husband."
They didn't even hear the cheering in the background, the tears of both of them were flowing down their cheeks. After 30 years they finally had the right to get married, finally be officially married by the law.
"I love you, dork." Steve sobbed, his forehead rested against Billy's and the blue eyed Californian didn't even care that he was crying in front of all those people.
"I love you too idiot."
"I still can't believe your name is William." "A way to destroy the atmosphere, Harrington." "It's Hargrove."
