Three weeks.
Billy and Steve haven't talked in almost three weeks, god they didn't even spare a look at each other.
And it tore Billy apart. It felt like a part of him was gone. He never thought he could have such strong feelings for a silly boy with marvelous hair. And his mood has changed too, he wasn't the sarcastic or even 'softer' which the kids grew to since he was hanging around with Steve. He was the old, cold, asshole Billy, which everyone hated but Billy didn't care he was hurt and no one gave a fuck.
Steve was still thinking he heard the boy wrong, that he hadn't said I'm in love with you, even when he knew that wasn't possible he heard the boy clear as daylight. And he had the same feelings, but Billy wasn't the Billy that Steve grew to like, he was the old Billy that no one remotely liked. And now he really didn't know what to do.
"Have you seen Steve? He looks so sad lately-" "I swear to god if I hear that name one more time I'm gonna crush your skull." The blonde one growled as he walked next to a girl, he couldn't even remember the name of, as she kept talking about anything and everything. He had zoned out a long time ago but just the name of the Harrington boy caught him off guard.
"What?" She was irritated by the sudden mood change. "Does that mean the rumors about you and Steve were true?" God she was really testing his patience with her blabber.
Billy rolled his eyes without her seeing it, and with a swift move he had her pinned against the lockers and was kissing her, feeling how the girl melted into his arms.
And, god, he hated that feeling. It felt wrong, disgusting. He didn't like her soft body, or her curves. His hands felt wrong at her waist, and the long hair that was tickling his chest felt wrong. And the smell of strawberry and vanilla made him nauseous.
He was used to Steve's body under his hands, his soft lips and his stubble, his firm hands roaming over his body and not those soft petite hands. He was used to a fight of dominance, even though Steve always bottomed, but this girl didn't even do anything.
"I'm sorry, I can't." Billy said, ripping himself off of her, backing up a bit. "Excuse me?" "I think you heard me." He said, wiping his mouth from the disgusting sticky lipgloss the girl had left. "Are you just using me? I thought this was something real-" "We know each other for like 20 minutes and if you really think I was actually interested in more than a quick fuck, you're wrong."
Steve couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Billy making out with some girl in the hallway, his stomach had flipped around and he actually had to go outside to get the feeling of nausea out of him.
That made him question everything he had ever done with the tall blonde. Was he just a quick fuck? They did agree on fun and games though, but this was so much more complicated now.
After fourth period, there was no sign of Billy anymore. And in Steve has risen anger, he wanted to know what was going on. He couldn't hate the blonde one, he just couldn't. Billy could've shot him and he'd forgive these fucking ocean blue eyes.
"Where's your brother?" Steve asked Max rather rudely as he approached her. She looked puzzled for a moment, before she looked at Steve. "I don't know, he doesn't tells me anything anymore." The redhead said, a little sad because they actually had a connection but now it was like it never existed. "Probably at Doris' house." "Doris?" He asked confused, his blood starting to boil because he probably went with the girl he had kissed. But Steve didn't give one flying fuck. Not one. "Do you know where Doris lives?"
Steve larked his BMW in front of a beautiful house and he inhaled deeply. He was nervous. Of course he was, Billy and Steve haven't talked a word for 3 weeks and before that they talked everyday and they did much more than that.
He walked up to the door and he tried to mentally prepare himself to see the blonde behind the weird girl Billy had kissed in the hallway.
Three times he knocked against the white door.
And then he was completely caught off guard. "You're here for Billy, aren't you?" The older woman asked, smiling softly at Steve, whose jaw almost kissed the pavement. "Y-yes." He stuttered out before the woman, whose name he hadn't caught, pulled him inside. "William, you have company!" The woman called out and Steve choked on his spit.
"William?" Steve asked coughing before he bursted out laughing. The bad boys name was fucking William? "What do you want Harrington?" His voice filled with annoyance but somehow he had a hint of amusement behind it. "Sorry William, I came to talk." Steve said when he had finally caught his breath.
They walked into the living room of Doris and the only thing that was going through Steve's mind was fucking William.
