Claire POV

"Claire, your sister is on the phone she wants to talk to you." My mother walks into my room. I am at my desk doing school work. I ignore my mom as she talks non-sence about how I am not nice to my sister who I haven't seen in weeks who would take care of me and a bunch of other stuff about how I never return the favor of being a great sister to Lauren.

"Mom I'm doing my homework okay, I'll call her when I am finished." My main priority has always been school. You can call me nerdy but really I don't procrastanate.

"For all you know this may be the last chance you have to talk to your sister."

I huff giving up and my mom hands me my phone.

"Hi Lauren."

"Hey Claire, guess what."

"Um... you made it to next week."

"Well yeah but that wasn't what I was going to say."

"What is it, are you dadting one of the hot guys from that new boyband... what was it... Radio kicks."

I hear snickering in the background as Lauren shushes them.

"Claire, I had this on speaker. I realised that just now."

"At least I know your actually watching me. Anyways, two of the other girls in my catagory have went home. And since this house is too big for just two people I have convinced Cheryl to let, let you stay with us."

"To let you let me let you do what?" I ask confused with all the 'lets' shoved into one sentence.

"Cheryl is letting me invite you to stay in the house with us."

"Well, that's cool and all Lauren, and I really miss you, but I still have school and then we can't leave mom alone."

"You've always been the responisible one, you sure your not older."

"I wish, then mom would like me more." I sigh.

"Mom loves you what are you talking about. Well I hope we can still meet up this weekend?"

"Ofcourse, your picking me up at 7 right."

"Yup bye Claire, I've gotta rehearse."

Lauren hangs-up the phone. My mom has always liked her more, because she is kind and smart and funny and talented. We always got aong but mom always thought that I had a problem with Lauren. Ever since I was eight my mom would scold me for not being kind enough to Lauren. Lauren never had a problem with me, I don't even know why my mom thinks I have a problem with her. She's a great sister.
