Charlie POV
“I’m shocked you were bored. How can you possibly be bored around 8 guys. I thought it was impossible.”
“Nothing is impossible, Charlie.” she giggles. I laugh along with her. I like her little giggle, it’s cute.”Where are we going?”
“Skating.” I reply simply.
“You're trying to kill me aren’t you.”
“What? Why? It’s just skating.”
“Oh, yeah it’s ‘just skating’.” She uses her fingers to quote ‘just skating’. “But to a klutz like me it’s a death wish.”
I laugh at her silliness. I expected her to be shy from her hiding behind her sister only about an hour ago. She either really isn’t shy or gets over it REALLY quickly. When we get to the roller rink. I pay for the two of us. Claire protest at first, but then she gives up realising I wasn’t going to and we go over to get the skates.
“Shoe size?” The guy behind the counter asks. I look to Claire.
“8.” She says to the man.
“And 12.”
“12?” The guy behind the counter asks in shock. I hear Claire laughing behind me.
“Yes, I’m a 12.”
“How old are you kid to have such giant feet.”
“I’m, uh, 14, now can I get our shoes please.” I turn as red as a tomato as the guy behind the counter continues to stare at me as if I am crazy.
“You’ve got some big feet kid.” He finally says turning around to get my shoes. About time.
I grab the shoes mumbling a quick thank you turning around to see Claire with her hand clasped over her mouth to stop from laughing.
“That wasn’t funny.”
She clears her throat and does some fake cough thing, says “I know.” and then burst into laughter yet again.
“Fine then, I won’t help you stay alive.” I tease pouting slightly.Claire only shrugs.
“I wasn’t gonna leave my life in the hands of someone I have only known for 2 hours anyways.”
“Good, cause I’m not a good skater either.”
“You expect me, to go somewhere on wheels with no help.”
“I never said I wouldn’t help you.”
She sits down and puts on her skates and I do the same. I grab her hand to help pull her up when she is finished. I help her gain her balance, I keep her hand in mine to guide her to the skating surface. We stay near the wall because Claire likes holding onto the wall for guidance.
“Come on Claire, try leaving the wall.” I persuade. She stubbornly shakes her head.”You too much of a wimp.” I tease.
“Did you just call me a wimp?” She asks. That’s something Lauren would say. She has to be better than everyone at everything.
“I did, whatcha gonna do about it.” Claire practically throws herself off the wall and pushes me down, she gains her balance and keep straight up while I’m on the ground and my head hit the platform and it really hurts.
“I’m so sorry. I have a temper. Are you okay?” She gets down on her knees to help me. My voice is hoarse cause I’m trying to hide the fact that I think I might cry when I say I’m fine. She helps sit me up and I immediately get dizzy.
“Charlie, you alright.” Panik clear in her voice.
“Just slightly dizzy not that bad.”
“You just hit you head and your dizzy, how is that not bad. I’m calling Lauren.” Claire pulls out her.
“Let’s just go back.”
“You are not moving.” She demands crawling to the wall with her phone curled tightly in one of her hands. I lay there staring at the ceiling with an awful pain in my head.
A/N
I hope it's not bad so far. Stereo Kicks is like my new obsession right now. They better win X-Factor. I like Only the Young too. I also like Lauren Platt and Jack Walton and those are pretty much my main favorites. But they are all so good. It's just Stereo Kicks are my fave this year. I hope the few people reading this enjoy it.
