(Calum's point of view)

"Here we are buddy"
"This isn't home" he mumbled.
"It is for now okay? Here follow me" I took his hand and led him towards my room. Luckily everyone had wonder off or even slept. Either way I'm thankful no one was here.
"I'm going to ne- ouch"
"Oh sorry mate" Luke's groggy voice made it clear he had just woken up.
"Damn it Luke."
"I said I was sorry" I signed.
"Daddy has a potty mouth" Jason giggled putting his hand over his mouth.
"No, he doesn't" I said irritated.
"What did he just say?..wait who is that?.." Like pointed at Jason confused.
"No one...you're uhh dreaming" I quickly pasting him and into my room, locking the door behind me. Once I got there I placed his bookbag on my bed along with him, so that his foot was hanging off of it. I paced back and forth, he watched me waiting for something. I ran my hand through my hair a couple of times before kneeling down in front of him.
"Look, I'm sorry about want happened to your mom"
"No!!" He screamed and covered his ears. I quickly hushed him.
"Okay okay, I'm sorry." I took his hand from his ears and placed it on his lap. "I'm sorry." I said one last time. I didn't know what to say...I signed and grabbed his bookbag.
"Do you want your ninja turtle pjs or Spider-Man?" I asked searching his bag.
"Ninja turtles" he smiled.
"Good choice, ninja turtles are awesome." I smiled at him. After he got changed and brushed his teeth, almost getting caught by Michael this time. I tucked him in and read him a story. He quickly slipped into slumber holding his oversized stuffed turtle. I sat and watched him for a bit before grabbing my phone and dialing the only person I knew that could help me.
"Hi Calum" I smiled I at the sound of my mother voice. The soothing familiar sound made me miss the comfort. I was on the edge of tears.
"Hi mum.."
"Honey, what's wrong?" I guess she noticed the way my voice shook...I couldn't help but sob. It took me a while to explain everything to her. She wasn't angry. Something I was extremely thankful for. She wanted to see him so I took a picture and sent it. I could her the happiness in her voice.
"Calum...he looks just like you."
"I know" I chuckled and sniffed.
"What do you want to do?" I played with the hem of my shirt. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do...
"Mum..."
"Yes Calum?"
"I want to keep him...I don't want to let him go." It was strange. The little time I've known him we already had a connection I didn't want to lose. I watched him as he played at the indoor McDonald's playground. Before I brought him home. I'm pretty sure then I already decided that I wanted to keep him. "I just don't know how to tell the boys...or even the fans..that's the only part I'm troubled with" once again tears filled my eyes. It angered me that I couldn't be comfortable with telling the boys about Jason. I felt horrible.

My cried filled my ears making it hard to hear anything. A sudden small hand at my knee that halted them. I looked up and meet with eyes similar to mine but smaller.
"Daddy don't cry." I couldn't help but pull him into a hug with one arm.
"Awee" I could hear my mum say.
"How about this Calum? How about you bring Jason here and we'll figure something out? I can help you take care of him. Okay?"
Before answering I looked at Jason. Who now sat on my lap smiling widely. I chuckled lightly.
"Wanna meet your grandma?"
"Yesssss!"
"Ssssh" I said in the middle of a laugh.
"Oops" he said and covered his mouth again.
"Sorry daddy"
"It's okay...hold on mom"
I heard her say "okay" as I placed the phone down and tucked Jason in once again.
"Why'd you wake up bud?"
"I always did when I heard mommy cry..." He played with the flaps of the blanket. I nodded and pressed my lips in a straight line.
"Did she ever hurt you?" He shook his head.
"But the meanies did..." I narrowed my eyes.
"Who are the meanies, Jason?"
"The big ole guys that always comes over...they would push me into the darkness. I think it was the closet. Then make mommy scream and cry..." I shook my head.
"I'm so sorry. I promise. You'll never have to go through it again. Okay?" He nodded.
"Night buddy"
"Goodnight, daddy" I kissed his forehead and he closed his eyes. It felt strange being called "daddy" but I wasn't going to stop him. I want him to call me that. I sighed and picked up my phone.
"I'll see you in about a week mum"
I heard her smile.
"Alright son. I love you."
"I love you too"
"Don't do anything stupid you hear me?" She partially joked
"Yes m'am" I smiled
"Good night darling."
"Goodnight mum..."

With that the line ended and I looked at Jason. Before slipping in behind him and holding him close. Falling into a deep slumber.
