(Sophia's point of view)

Augustus and I parted way to get settled in our dorm rooms and agreed to meet up at the campus Starbucks at 1700(5pm) sharp. It was only 13:36 (1:36pm) Though our dorms weren't that far apart which was great for me. I've become quite antisocial due to the bullying and such. Gus was the first person I've ever become friends with.which surprised me, our friendship formed quite quickly. I prayed that I had a dorm on my own. Before, I could pray twice as hard the door opening followed by high heels interrupt my thoughts.
"Hi there" the most annoying voice I've ever heard squealed. "I'm Alejah Tate" she walked till she stood beside me sticking out her hand. I just looked at her. "Okay...um do you mind taking the window bed? The idea of falling out scares me." She asked bitting her finger nails on one hand and the other pointing at the window. I signed and placed all my stuff on the window bed. She clapped and struggled to put her baggage on the bed. There was an awkward silence as I read through the student hand book sipping on a hot tea and her running around the room. I heard a thump followed by a series of swears. Looking up a caught Alejah on the floor holding her ankle. A giggle escaped my lips. Her eyes shot at me with a glare. I quickly dug them back into the book.

Two thuds were made and I looked seeing Alejah getting back on her feet and limping to her bed with a huff. "What's your name anyway?" She asked without looking at me. Then her head turned and I followed the same actions back into my book. Which had perfect lighting from the window.
"Look, if we're gonna be room mates you're gonna have to talk to me sooner or later" her thick accent made it clear she was from around here. I sighed, placed my book on my bed and moved so my feet were hanging of the bed similar to hers.
"Sophia." I said quietly.
"What?" She leaned in to hear me better. I sighed and answered
"My name. Is. Sophia" he mouth formed an "O" shape.
"You're not from around here are ya mate?" She pointed out. I panicked, fear took over my body. What if she laughs at me or judges me. I swallowed my fear and nodded.
"That's wicked" she said excitedly before stopping and observed me.
"Wait, you're the captain of the football team!" I covered my ears as she scream.
"You're like famous around here"
"What?" She nodded at a quick pace.
"Everyone's been eager to meet ya lad" I looked at her confusingly. She groaned and took my hand dragging me out the door. In the process I grabbed the sweater that had my last name across the back, my number, and "Sydney University football" with a picture of a football and goal printed in the front. She dragged me down the 4 set of stairs and once we reached the bottom she stopped us and looked at me.
"This is gonna be great. We're gonna have heaps of fun" she smiled and dragged me around campus. People greeted me, asked me about my classes, and even offered help. I guess it's not gonna be so bad after all.
