PRESENT TIME
Nate Jacobs made direct eye contact with Maddy and Zelena as he gripped his date's ass, which was still entirely out of her dress as they danced together. Zelena rolled her eyes and looked away, but Maddy continued to stare, infuriated by what she saw. All the girls around the table could see the look in her eyes.
"Maddy, don't," Cassie said. Nate only continued to stare at them, and a small smirk came onto his face and Zelena looked at Maddy.
"Maddy. Don't do it." Zelena said. Even though she was pissed and very jealous of what she was seeing. She knew that Nate was only doing it to see which one of them would break first, and Zelena wasn't going to be the one to snap.
"Fuck this." Maddy snapped before standing up and going to find someone to dance with. Zelena noticed that Maddy went out onto the dance floor with a very handsome African-American man who even made Zelena raise an eyebrow.
"I guarantee you Maddy and Nate are gonna get married. And probably like, divorced three times, and in some strange way, live a pretty happy life." Kat said, and Zelena shook her head. Considering the fact that Nate has not only abused Maddy but also her. There was no guarantee of a happy life with him.
But both girls loved him and hated him with equal measure.
"Yeah." Cassie agreed.
"Yeah," Lexi said.
"Yeah," Rue said, even though she looked a little confused. Then Zelena noticed that Rue got up and went after Jules, and then she looked at the other girls.
"Anyone wanna dance with me?" Zelena asked, and Cassie smiled at her before nodding her head.
"Yeah, come on, let's dance," Cassie said. The two girls stood up from the table and walked out onto the dance floor as the same upbeat song continued to play.
"How are you, Cass? How are things with McKay?" She asked. Cassie sighed, not knowing if she wanted to tell Zelena about her abortion. She knew it was the best decision for her to make, but didn't know how others would judge her if she told.
"Well... I found out that I was pregnant." Cassie said, and Zelena's eyes widened.
"Oh my gosh, Cass... are you okay?" Zelena asked, concern coated in her eyes. Cassie nodded her head, as Zelena replayed her words in her head. "Wait, you said you were... does that mean you...-" Cassie cut her off by nodding her head, and Zelena immediately wrapped her arms around her and gave her a hug.
Cassie was a little surprised because she didn't know how Zelena was gonna take the news, but she gratefully wrapped her arms back around her and gave her a hug. "Oh, Cass... I'm so sorry. You're okay though, right? Like you feel okay?" Zelena asked as they pulled away and Cassie nodded her head.
"Yeah... yeah, I'm okay. Thank you, Zee. I really miss you, you know?" Cassie said, and Zelena smiled as they made their way back to the table, and sat back down where they were.
