Carter's new car
"Uncle James, please. I-I can't do it again. Please." I said as I try to get air into my lungs. Leaning on the side of the ring to catch my breath.
"James, maybe give her like a 10 minute break." My father spoke from the side. A worried look on his face.
"No. She can do this. She's strong enough to do this. You and I both know that hardwork comes from hard training." James argued back.
After that, they started to argue about everything.
"Shut up!" I shouted out.
"Carter?" I stood straight and looked at them.
"I want to do this. I need to do this. People call me fat. I won the last competition out of luck. I am over weight. So I want, no. I need to do this. I need to become the person I was meant to be. That is why I am doing this." I said and let my tears fall freely.
"Oh baby. I never knew this is why you want to do this." My dad said and came over to me, pulling me into his arms.
"James." Was the only thing he said before he turned and went to stand next to James.
"This pain you're feeling, that burn inside of you, that pain is just weakness leaving your body. Say bye bye to that bitch and wave with a big smile on your face. Even if the tears are close." Uncle James said and clapped his hands once and started to get up on the ring with me.
"What are you doing?" I spoke with a shaky voice as I see him put gloves on.
"Your next opponent is going to be me." He spoke as he got into place.
"What?" I all but shouted out.
"Carter. Hit. Me." He spoke in slow words.
"What!? No. You're my Uncle. I can't hit you." I spoke with a panicked voice as Uncle James came closer to me.
"Don't think of me as one of your family members. Think of me as someone you truly, really hate. With everything in you." He said as he stood right in front of me.
"I can't." I said and turned away.
"Why not?" He pushed me to the ropes.
"I just can't." I said with a half smile on my face.
Uncle James nodded once then went over to my dad. They spoke in soft voices and here and there looked over at me.
About 5 minutes later, Uncle James came over to me and looked at me with a sympathetic look in his eyes.
"Why won't you hit me?" He asked.
"I just can't, okay." I said and got ready to get out of the ring.
"Why is that? Is it that you can't really hit? Or is it because you're just some pathetic little girl looking for attention?" He said in a mocking way.
"Excuse me?" I said as I slowly turned around.
"You heard me. Are you looking for attention or are you just pathe-" he never got a chance to finish his sentence as my fist collided with his nose.
"Don't call me a pathetic, attention seeking whore!" I shouted as I looked at all the blood dripping from his nose.
"Whooow! That's my girl!" I heard my father shout as he jumped into the ring and lifted me up into the air.
"Now I know what gets under your skin." Is all Uncle James said as he went to the nurse's room.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hit him that hard I swear. He just sounded a lot like Samantha." I said as I hugged my dad.
"Sweetheart, he told you to hit him. So that is on him not you, okay?" He said and kissed my forehead.
"Okay." Is all I said and just relaxed into my dad's side.
"Let's go for a ride." My dad spoke out of the blue.
"What? As in ride, ride?" I asked with a smirk on my face.
"A ride, ride." My father agreed with his own smirk on his face.
We jumped up and ran outside, and got into our cars.
One thing that you shouldn't give us, is a set of car keys, fast car's, car keys.
We drove out of the parking lot and onto one of the main roads to the race court.
Stopping at a red light, my dad took the spot on my left and one of Jesse Roberto's friends took the one on my right.
He kept on revving his car and nodding at me then looked at his friends in the car then laughed.
I looked at my dad and sow him giving me the look.
The look is the one were he gives me permission to do something.
Smiling at my father, I rolled down all four of my car's windows and turned up the stereo.
Armin Van Buuren- Blah Blah Blah. Came on. The only song I ever race to.
Making me rev my car to the beat of the song.
And when the beat dropped, the light turned green.
Taking the leap like a rocket, I speed down the road with my dad recording everything from behind Dick's car, that is about two cars length behind me.
Taking the curve, Dick came up next to my car and smirked.
When the first half came to a stop, I sow in my rear view mirror that my dad is flashing his lights.
That means, I'm all clear.
So, I punched it.
Zipping past Dick and about 4 other cars.
Two cars were driving in two lanes but one was a little ahead of the other. I was in the left lane, one was in the middle lane and the other was was on the right lane.
There was only one thing to do.
I had to do something.
The road on the left was closed, so that left only one thing.
I had to Drift.
I swung right and came to the right lane safe but I had to pull the wheel left then right, fast while pulling up the hand break.
Drifting in between the two cars, I sow Dick taking the left lane, then stopping dead in the road.
I win.
They lose.I laughed as me and my dad came rolling onto the stop sign.
"I'm seriously posting that on YouTube." He joked.
We laughed all the way homr about that one thing.
On how priceless Dick's face was.
