Kelly and Nathan dump the bodies into the hole that Simon, Alisha and I helped dig. We stared at the dead bodies. What the hell did we do? What the hell is happening? I thought I went completely bonkers, but now I guess we're all a little crazy.. seeing as we're all burying two dead bodies.

My wings went away after Nathan told us the plan. I still don't know how to conjure them or put them away, they just come at random times. I step close to Nathan and grab his arm. I know he's sort of like a class clown and says gross things... but for some reason, I feel safer around him. And right now, we're surrounded by dead bodies. I need all the safety I can get at this point. He looks down at me and looks back at the bodies, breathing hard.

"We don't tell anyone about this, yeah?" Kelly looks at all of us. "About the storm, or what it did to us, or anything!"

"We're about to bury our probation worker, we don't need to draw any attention to ourselves." Nathan piggybacks on what Kelly says. He looks around to see if we all agree.

Alisha picks up a shovel, "I don't want anyone to know. Cannot be a freak."

"What about you?" Kelly points to Curtis.

Nathan shakes his head at him "There's no going back now, man. You're 'bout as screwed as the rest of us. You're black and famous, you're probably more screwed!"

"I shouldn't even be here." Curtis stands completely still. He looks angry.

Curtis looks away and grabs a shovel. Kelly turns to Alisha. "Just then, when he was touching you, how were you doing that?"

"I don't know." Alisha mutters as she sticks her shovel in the dirt.

Nathan looks at me and nudges me. I look up at him and let go, getting a shovel. He gets a shovel too and sticks it in the dirt. We all stare at the bodies slowly getting engulfed by dirt.

Nathan turns to Simon, "Didn't you say you wanted to piss on her tits? Probably best to keep that between you and your internet service provider." Simon looks around confused.

"You alright?" Curtis asks Alisha. Alisha doesn't respond, she continues to drown the bodies in dirt with her shovel.

Nathan looks over at me. I don't look back at him, but I can feel him staring at me. Then, I feel Kelly staring at me. I look at Kelly and I see that she's actually staring at Nathan and giving him an odd look. She looks back at me and it looks like she's about to say something, but she goes back to digging.

"So hold on, only you have a special power? Everyone can do something except me?" Nathan looks at all of us. I stare at him and shrug. He points to Simon, "He can do something, he can do something.. And I can't. That's ridiculous! Look at him! How does that make any sense?"

Simon wipes the sweat off with his sleeve and looks at Nathan. "Maybe you can do something. Just haven't found out what it is yet.."

"Yeah, what if you have powers too.. you just don't know about them yet because you haven't needed to use them yet?" I look back at the curly headed comedian.

Nathan looks at me and then looks at the dead bodies. "Oh yeah, cause I haven't been in any danger recently!"

"Well you were barely touched when we were nearly dying." I said, digging my shovel into the ground.

Nathan thinks for a moment. "Yeah, what if I can't feel pain?"

Kelly immediately hits him on the head. "Did you feel that?" She says angrily.

"Ow!" He looks over at her and holds his head. "Stop hitting me!" Kelly rolls her eyes and continues to dump dirt over the bodies. We don't really say much after that. We all just.. take in the fact that there's two dead bodies in front of us and we're responsible for one of them.

We all stand against the wall. A girl, who I can only assume is our new probation worker, stands before us. "Gary and my colleague, Tony, have been reported missing. Their families are very worried about them. Have you seen anything unusual? Anything at all?"

We all stand silently. Nobody really knows what to say. Suddenly Nathan breaks the silence, "A few days ago.. I go into the toilets.. Tony and Gary were in there. They were butt naked. Tony has Gary by his hair," Nathan reaches up and grabs his curls. "Like this. And he's just doing him. Doggy style. And Tony's like," he begins to grunt and pretend his fucking someone in front him. I look around at my new friends and they all stare at him in disbelief. He stops moaning and placing his hands on his hips.

"So I'm guessing they've ran away to continue their enlisted homosexual affair and I ask you... In this world of intolerance and prodigious, who are we to condemn them?" Nathan finishes and stares at the lady. She folds her arm and scoffs, walking off bitterly. We all stare at Nathan in disbelief and disgust. He looks at us and looks away, not phased.

"Well I think we got away with it!" Nathan says as he holds a cigarette between his lips. We stand on the roof, staring down at the new probation worker.

"Do you actually believe that or are you really dumb?" Curtis looks over at Nathan.

Nathan looks offended. A cloud of smoke escapes his mouth. "I actually believe that. I mean I was there! I should have one of these bullshit powers!"

"You can have mine. Wanna know what people are thinking of you?" Kelly looks over.

Nathan takes the cigarette away from his mouth, "not really, no. I want something good. You know, something from the a-list. Like Jane's power." He points to me.

"I still don't know how to control it." I look over. I tap on his arm. He looks over and I point to his cigarette, asking if I can take a hit. Nathan nods and hands it over.

Curtis's face seems confused but relieved. "So what happens now? Is this it? Is it gonna be like this forever?" He looks at all of us.

"What if we're meant to be, like... super heroes." Simon stares at all of us.

"Superheroes? No offense, but what kind of fucked up world would that be allowed to happen?" Nathan looks over. I hand him back his cigarette and let the cloud emerge from my lips.

"I did not sign up for that." Alisha says in disgust.

"Superheroes! I love this guy! You prick!" Nathan looks at Simon. I wanna tell him to stop picking on him but I never can get the words out.

Kelly thinks for a moment, "What if there's loads of people like us all over town?"

"No.. That kind of thing only happens in America." Nathan looks at Kelly. "This'll fade away. I'm telling you, this time next week, it'll be back to the same old boring shit."

We look back at the river in front of us and sigh.

"Well, fuck." I blurt out.
