Curtis, Alisha, Kelly, Simon and I walk towards the familiar spot. We hold trash bags and trash grabbers, seeing as we were told to pick up garbage after the dance when the elders finished. Nathan never came back. We all saw him sitting down against a pillar, smoking a cigarette. I tilt my head. He seems super out of it. Exhausted. Almost traumatized. What the hell happened?! We walk closer to him. "What the hell happened with you?" Curtis practically reads my mind.
"I will not be in a room where that song is playing." Nathan makes up an excuse.
"Bullshit." I mutter. He scoffs and takes a hit from his cigarette.
Kelly says, "some old woman was looking for you."
Nathan thinks for a moment. Immediately, regret is on his face and he bites his lip, turning away from Kelly. Kelly's face is in complete shock. "You shagged her?!"
"Yeah! Yeah, nice one!" Nathan scoffs, shaking his head.
Alisha gasps. "You totally screwed her."
"No." Nathan mutters. He notices our faces. "No!" He stands up.
"You nailed that old woman?" Curtis points at Nathan. He looks disgusted. "Nah, that's just wrong."
I stare at everyone in disgust. Did Nathan seriously have sex with that sweet old granny? "Did you enjoy it?" Simon chimes in.
Nathan turns to him and points at him, "shut up, you little freak!" He screams.
"I think he enjoyed it." Simon smirk and looks at the rest of us.
"Are you into that??" Curtis questions in disgust. Alisha's laughter fills in the silence.
"Noooo!!!" Nathan shouts.
I fold my arms. "Then why'd you shag her?"
"She didn't look like that when we started, okay?!" Nathan explains, sighing. My head doesn't tilt and I unfold my arms.
"That girl from Tuesday?" I ask.
"Yes!" He points to me. "That was her! The storm made her young again!"
"What the fuck, Nathan?!" I shout in anger. "I mean, I knew you were into her but shagging her so soon? Did you even know her?"
Nathan looks at a lost for words and he stumbles over them. "I.. Uh.. Yes! No! Not really, I-"
"Yeah, clearly you didn't. Otherwise you would've known she was an old hag!" I scream. Everyone stops giggling and faces me. "You didn't even know the girl properly before you shagged her! You're a prick!"
"I didn't-" Nathan mumbles but is defeated.
"No, shut the fuck up. We were talking on Tuesday and you just completely turned around to face this beautiful girl." I point at him.
"Why the hell do you care?!" He screams at me.
"Why do you think I care, Nathan?!" I stare at him, breathing hard. Anger fuels inside me.
"I don't fucking know!" He yells. Suddenly realization hits his face. "You like me!" He begins to smile.
"You're pathetic, Nathan, do you know that?" My eyebrows narrow in rage.
Nathan scoffs. "That I'm pathetic? Hell yeah, I know that. At least I don't turn into a bird when I'm scared."
"Oh piss off!" I shout, tears welling up in my eyes. "You're a fucking prick, Nathan. Fuck you." I scream. Suddenly, I see my father. The father who abused me as a child. The father that never truly loved me. The father that I tried to make proud my entire life. The father that clearly thought that I wasn't enough. The father that would make me rather talk to Nathan than go back home. "Fuck you! Fuck you! Fuck you!" I scream over and over again. Tears cloud my eyes and I can't even see anyone anymore.
I shut my eyes, still yelling. I open my eyes and see Nathan again. My heart beats fast. I can't help but breathe extremely heavily. Without facing the others, I turn around and walk away. I don't wanna see anyone.

"Hey, are you alright?" Kelly comes up to me. I turn to face her and smile.
"Thanks for asking, Kelly. I just... I'm okay." I lie. I'm fuming. I'm sad. I have no clue why I exploded on him and everyone, but I don't think I should apologize.
I turn back to my locker and sigh. I stuff my jumpsuit in my locker and slam it shut, thinking about him fucking a girl. It's not that I'm jealous... I haven't even known him that long for me to wish it was me... but don't say you're into a girl and then fuck some random one you don't even know.
At the corner of my eye, I see Kelly going back to her locker. I turn around and see Nathan staring at me. He steps close to me. "Can we ta-"
"We need to be ready for when they come after us." Simon chimes in. I don't move my gaze away from Nathan. He stares at me for a long time too, before turning to face Simon.
"What're you talking about?" Kelly asks. I move my gaze from Nathan to Simon and wait for his response.
"You know, the people that got caught up in the storm?" Simon mutters.
Curtis shrugs, "why would they come after us?"
"Because that's what people do." Simon looks at us.
"Yeah, well, if they do.. We'll just tell him it was all your fault." Nathan shrugs. Simon stays silent and kneels down, getting something from his locker. Nathan turns around and opens his locker. He stands still. I try to look over his shoulder to see what he's staring at, but can't get a good view. "You know that note you found in your locker? I think it was talking about the probation worker..." Nathan turns to us.
We all step towards Nathan's locker to see what he's looking at. It's a missing person's poster for the guy we saw Kelly smash a paint can and step on multiple times. 'I KNOW' is written over it.
"Holy shit." Nathan mutters.
"Holy fucking shit." I mutter back.
