I walked slowly out of my Art room and into the less crowded hallway. I felt Justin's hand brush against mines and little electric pulses shoot through my arm. I stopped at a little cafe on campus.
"What can I get for you?" An older man asked flirtatiously. I heard a growl emanate from Justin.
"Just a Hot Chocolate, please. Whipped cream, no marshmallows." I didn't smile back because he was just a tad creepy and it would just piss Justin off even more.
"That will be $4.50, thank you." I handed over the money and moved over to wait. I turned around and looked at Justin. He had a cute smile adorning his handsome face. I couldn't help but smile back at him.
"Can I ask you something?" He asked quietly. I nodded silently. "Would you like to go on a date with me?" The hope in his voice was as clear as it shone on his face. I had only known him for a handful of hours but we knew we were soul mates. You only live once, right? My smile widened.
"I would love to." My voice chimed with excitement. I knew my blue shone with happiness.
"Okay, I'll pick you up at seven tonight?"
"That sounds perfect. I'm guessing that you're not going to tell me where we are going?" He shook his head. I grabbed my drink and walked out of the door. I could feel Justin following me so I slowed down to fall in step with him. "Is there a dress code that I need to know about?" I didn't know if I had to dress up or not.
"Just casual wear for tonight. I'll see you at your house." After giving him my address I climbed in my car with Lilly hot on my tail.
"So, who was he?" She asked with a sassy attitude. I'm sure she knows who he is, she did have a vision of my future and mate.
"You should know. You saw him in your vision. His name is Justin. He doesn't know that I know about werewolves. I want him to tell me himself." We chatted about our day as I drove to my place. "You need to help me find the perfect casual outfit for tonight." I told my best friend. I shut the car off and hopped out. Lilly was looking around to see if anyone was around. As soon as she gave the all-clear, she unleashed her pure white wings and flew up to her home. There is a cloud that only angels and guarded can see and it sits above my house. After a few minutes, Lilliana came back down and we walked into my house.
"I'm home, Aunty Jenna." I yelled to the quiet house.
"Okay." I heard a voice coming from the Art Studio. Aunty Jenna must be working on a new project. I walk up the first flight of stairs and opened my door to drop my bag inside. I moved up the second set of stairs that led to the attic, now an art studio.
"Hey, I'm going out tonight. Will you be okay until I get home?" I know my aunty is older than me but she was kidnapped in her early twenties and now she doesn't like being home on her own. She now has a guardian angel too. Jenna doesn't know about angels existing and I would like to keep that way. He comes down when I leave the house and leaves when I come home. Andrew, that's the angels name, didn't like me very much. He thinks that I'm too childish for my age, which is 20. That's a little stupid coming from a two-thousand-year-old angel who acts childish all the time. He is actually dating Jenna. So that makes leaving my lovely aunty at home easier.
"Yes, Andrew will be here tonight. Do you have a date?" Curiosity shone in her eyes and drizzled in her English coated voice. I smiled brightly and nodded. Jenna jumped up and down in excitement.
"Lilliana is helping me get ready. So that means I have to go. Tell Andrew I said hi." With that, I walked out and down the stairs to my tidy room. I looked at Lilly, who was twiddling her thumbs. I knew she had cleaned up my mess from this morning. I look over the room to see it sparkle, literally
"I was going to clean up but you beat me to it. Anyway, what do you suggest I wear tonight." I spun around. Lilliana didn't respond at all. I walked up to her, trying to gain her attention. Wait, she only twiddled her thumbs when she is having a vision. I just left Lilliana to watch whatever is playing in her head to have a shower.
When I stepped out of the bathroom with my orange fluffy robe, Lilliana had finished her vision.
"So what did you see?" I asked her cautiously.
"Just your date. It will go very well." I could sense something was off. I decided to ignore the feeling and let Lilliana beautify me. She covered every mirror in the room so I couldn't see myself. I had to trust Lilliana's skills, which are amazing. Finally, it was time to get dressed. Since Lilliana has seen where Justin was taking me, she picked out the perfect outfit. After getting into my pale orange and yellow sundress carefully, Lilliana uncovered all five mirrors. I caught a glimpse of myself and my jaw dropped for the third time today. I looked like a walking, talking sunset.
I eyed the clock as the second hand made it clock-wise rotation. Ten minutes before seven and I was sitting on the chocolate suede sofa watching TV aimlessly. I zoned out for a few minutes only to be brought back by the doorbell chiming throughout the house. I carefully stood up and smoothed out my dress and walked over to the front door to open it. I heard a clutter of footfalls from upstairs. Lilliana appeared at the bottom of the stairs with an unreadable expression. Maybe something bad will happen tonight and I will die. Great now I'm freaking out whether I should open the door or not. Lilliana nodded and I turned the knob and swung the door back to reveal...
