Betrayal

I was running as fast as I could without tripping over tree roots and rocks. I looked but nothing was there. I stopped to rest my tired legs but that was a mistake. Out of nowhere two wolves, one light grey and the other a rusty red pounced at me. I moved just before they landed on me. I took off running again. I couldn't shift nor could I connect with the royal pack. These wolves injected me with something that cut off my connections to everyone.
I sat up covered in sweat and screaming. Justin and Daniel both shot outta bed and was on high alert for danger in the room.

"What happened, Baby?" Daniel asked, his voice husky from sleep.

"Just a nightmare. I have been having the same one over and over again." I explained. Justin looked a little relieved that there was no danger.

"The one with the grey and red wolves?" Justin questioned. I nodded my head.

"What if it comes true? I get cut off from everyone. I don't know if I get away or not." I was scared now. I will be the next queen in a few weeks. Evergean asked me to meet her in the formal dining room. I hoped up from my spot on the bed and rummaged through my suitcases for my floor-length royal blue dress. I grabbed everything I needed for a shower. That first door I opened led to an oversized bathroom. I undressed and turned on the taps I brushed through my hair quickly while the water heated up. Once the steam started to fog up the mirror I hopped in the shower and washed my now greasy hair. After my body and hair were thoroughly cleaned I turned off the shower and dried myself. I heard a knock at the door.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Mother wishes to see you, Honey." Justin called back.

-I'm just getting ready. I'll be down in five. – I linked Evergean.

-Okay. See you soon. Justin will bring you down. – She linked back. I quickly got dressed and did my hair in a loose ponytail. I walked out of the bathroom and over to another suitcase that contains my shoes. I slipped on a pair of white flats and looked at Justin, signaling him that I was ready to go. We walked down a few hallways, two flights of stairs and a couple more hallways before we reached the formal dining room where Evergean was waiting for me. Justin kissed my cheek and told me he'll back later on.

After five hours of Evergean teaching me about the pack I excused myself to attend a late business lecture. I linked Justin so we could leave for the uni campus. Justin led me to the garage where some of the flashier vehicles were held including his Aston Martin and my Impreza. Justin handed me a familiar set of keys I jumped up and down and ran over to my car and jumped in. I started the engine and it purred to life. Justin quickly got in and I roared out of the garage and towards University. Justin was my navigator for most of the drive because I didn't take in my scenery because I was crying most of the way to their home. We arrived ten minutes before the lecture started. We walked slowly to the business building.

"I guess Daniel won't be taking over the business side, you will." I said, sounding proud. Daniel seemed more like a hands-on, practical kind of wolf.

"Yeah, that's right. It's a bonus that you are doing business too. It would help with the pack and business meetings. We have our own business and when we become the leaders we take over as CEOs." He smiled a heart-warming smile.

"You and Daniel will be the CEOs. I'd rather be your PA." I corrected him. I didn't want to run a large business. I'd rather would for them. It may sound weird but it would be amazing and I could also keep an eye on the female employees. They would do anything to get in bed with them. Why wouldn't they, I mean they are smoking hot. Would I get jealous, I don't think so. I already have them. They are my mates. I will never share them. I heard Justin chuckle and I realised I left the link open again.
