"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry!" I looked down my school uniform. It's drenched in orange juice and it started to overcome the smell of my perfume. But instead of getting angry, I gave the freshman a genuine smile. It was an accident. No need to worry about it.

"It's okay. Just be careful next time, okay?" The freshman nodded and run to her table, probably telling her friends what she did. I don't mind. For four years being in this school, there's no month I never had a cafeteria accident like this.

No need for me to worry about that. I just need to change clothes before the lunch period ended. Good thing the locker rooms are in front of my next class.

I walked out of the cafeteria and gave every student I past by a smile. I'm a senior now and president of the computer club, president of the student council and the editor in chief of the student publication that's why I'm comfortable with greeting everyone. I usually interact with most of them in the clubs or fairs.

And besides, ever since freshman year I'm always this friendly towards everyone. I would greet everyone I came across with a bright smile. Even the bullies of the school, which pisses them off. I'm okay with that. As long as there is no physical harm done.

I entered the locker room and walked to my locker. I secretly entered my code pin and grabbed one of my extra blouses. I glanced at my wrist watch. Five minutes before the warning bell rings. I can make it in time. Or so I thought.

I finished dressing up and was about to leave the locker room when the door flung open, revealing the self-proclaimed queens of the entire school. Felicia and Britney.

I avoided eye contact with them and was about to leave when Felicia called out to me using her high-pitched voice. "Hey ironing board!"

I grunted. Three minutes before the warning bell rings. I guess I had to deal with this two first. I don't want to be rude with anyone, even if they call me an ironing board, which is quite offensive, but I can manage.

"Hey Felicia! Britney!" I greeted them back with a closed-eye smile. I heard Felicia scoffed but I don't mind, I'm sure she won't do anything to physical to harm me. I'm sure she won't stoop that low just to get on my nerves. She's not cheap, I know that.

"You know, I had enough of your games. Miss President." In a snap, I was pushed to a wall and Felicia's arm was pressing against my neck. It hurts and I can't breathe properly but that's okay. I'm sure Felicia's just playing around with me. I'm sure she's gonna spat some hurtful words directly to my face and leave before the warning bell rings.

I opened my eyes but still kept my smile. "Can you please hurry? The bell's gonna ring soon." Felicia's right eye twitched. She looks like she's on the edge. I'm also on the edge. I'm just not showing it.

"Britney, please lock the doors. Me and the president will talk about something important." Britney immediately followed, a meaning smirk plastered on her make-up covered face. But I paid no attention to it. Britney always had that look. I shouldn't be worried and calling for help, right?

"Can you remove your hand before we talk? Also classes are about to start soon. Maybe we can talk this in my office when class ended?" I suggested but Felicia just pressed her arm harder against my neck. It hurts. But my smile didn't fade. It's still on my face even though beads of sweat started to form on my face and I feel like my face was being pressed hardly onto a wall.

"Listen here, Funneh. I had enough of you being nice. Being the role model. It pisses me off. Maybe, if I send the school's role model away for the next two months, people will start to recognize my worth. I'm the investor's daughter after all." After Felicia's monologue, Britney came over and handed Felicia a bat that who knows where she got and bashed it hard on my stomach.

It hurts. I can feel the bitter taste of iron as I cough up blood. Felicia let go of me and watched me drop to the ground. My smile was still on, even though my facial expression screams pain. And I heard the warning bell rang. I'm late. For the first time in my entire high school career.

"This is for coughing blood on my new designer blouse!" Felicia kicked me again on the stomach. "This is for being too friendly!" Then she stomped on my stomach. I winced in pain. But I never let my smile fade a millisecond.

Why? Because my smile is the symbol of my patience. Once it fades, I will erupt. All the negative emotions that is kept deep inside my heart will be set free, bringing chaos to my environment. Like my Dad. I don't want that. I don't want to be violent like him. But our difference is, he's always violent.

"Stop smiling! This is so angering! I hate you! I hate you! Just die already!" Felicia yelled as she continue to torture me. So she really is planning to physically hurt me. Die huh? Should I die here? In the hands of someone who gets annoyed by my smile?

Maybe I should. My smile was supposed to bring joy to people. But I guess Felicia had the right to kill me since my smile failed to do its mission. I guess I'm seeing my Mom sooner than expected. Maybe the time was right. Maybe it's time for me to leave Earth and be my Mom's side.

My eyelids started to grow heavier by the second. I can feel my blood leave my body like a pipe filling a water pool. And as my eyes take its last glance on Earth, I saw the gym door open. Revealing my best friend and sister accompanied by a school guard.

I smiled. I guess you have to wait, Mom. Then, everlasting darkness consumed my consciousness like a movie cliche.

A/N:

Woohoo! New story! I totally did not take almost an entire month creating ten story drafts because I can't make up my mind.

Also, please check out my friend's mystery and thriller book, The Party:Last Dance. His account name is DLParr. It's an original book, btw.

Anyways, thanks for reading! Much appreciated.

Edit: Four of my chapters are missing and I'm pissed off right now. Save me.
