"What would you think if I sang out of tune? Would you stand up and walk out on me?"

Ringo sang as he closed his eyes, knowing that Randel knew when to come in.

The blue meanies had to actively hold back from covering their ears to block out the song. Not one had their ears covered as Ringo continued.

"Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song, and I'll try not to sing out of key."

"Oh my..." a blue meanie whispered, "that actually sounds... good?"

"Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends. Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends. Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends."

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but... wow," another blue meanie said.

"What do I do when my love is away?"

"Does it worry you to be alone?" Randel joined in, staring at Raingo, who still had his eyes closed.

The pain was getting stronger now, but the warmth of the happiness that he felt shut it out, at least for now. He did all he could to keep himself from stuttering.

"How do I feel by the end of the day?" Ringo sang as he opened his eyes, looking at Randel.

"Are you sad because you're on your own?" Randel sang in response.

"This is amazing!" another regular blue meanie said. They were all starting to smile now, making the Chief gasp a little in shock. He himself was starting to enjoy it, despite how much he wanted to cover his ears.

"No, I get by with a little help from my friends. Mm, get high with a little help from my friends. Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends."

"No... it can't be..." The Chief whispered in disbelief as he stared at the two singers in front of him.

"Do you need anybody?" Randel asked, singing.

"I need somebody to love."

"Could it be anybody?" Randel sang.

"I want somebody to love."

The feeling within Randel grew, causing him to take in a short sharp breath at the pain, but it didn't dissuade him from continuing.

"Would you believe in a love at first sight?"

"Yes I'm certain that it happens all the time, " Ringo smiled after he sang the line.

"What do you see when you turn out the light?"

"I can't tell you, but I know it's mine."

By this point, most of the blue meanies were smiling. Max, seeing how they were reacting, started to sweat, unsure if he should join them.

He wanted to, but he didn't know if the Chief wanted him to.

"Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends. Mm, get high with a little help from my friends. Oh, I'm gonna try with a little help from my friends."

As Ringo sang those three lines, Randel began to grow pale.

His breathing became laboured and heavy, but he still pushed on, inspired by the growing feeling of happiness within him.

"Do you need anybody?" Randel was surprised that he didn't stutter.

"I just need someone to love."

"Could it be anybody?"

"I want somebody to love."

Ringo and Randel looked at each other during the short period of silence. Ringo saw how pale Randel had gotten, but he knew that there was still one verse left.

They both sang together.

"Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends. Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends. Oh, I get high with a little help from my friends. Yes, I get by with a little help from my friends."

They both took in a deep breath and sang the last line.

"With a little help from my friends."

Randel, breathing heavily, looked over at the blue meanies. Ringo did the same as well.

The blue meanies, apart from Max and the Chief, were all smiling at them.

"Well," a butterfly stomper said out loud, "I think I speak for us all when I say... that was amazing."

The four-headed bulldog, which was a few feet away from the butterfly stomper, barked in approval.

Shortly after, they all began to clap. The Dreadful Flying Glove, not being able to clap, smiled as he flew next to the pair, staring at them with amazement.

Max, overcome by peer pressure, gave in and started to clap.

The Chief stood still, flabbergasted at what was going on.

Once the clapping died down, he stepped forward, towards Randel.

Everyone saw how pale he had gotten.

Randel looked up at the Chief, who stopped in front of him.

"Randel..." The Chief sighed heavily.

"You're right... I... I'm sorry f-for what I tried to do... That was amazing... I-"

The Chief was interrupted when Randel went in to hug him.

"T-thank you, y-yer blueness," he said, burying his face in the blue fur that was decorated with roses.

He pulled away and looked at Ringo.

"T-though... he is t-the one you s-should be thanking... everyone s-should be thanking."

Ringo blushed.

"Ringo, thank you for... for doing this. If it weren't for you... well, things would have gone... differently..." The Chief trailed off, remembering what was about to happen before the pair had come between them.

"Ringo..."

Ringo turned around to see Jeremy approaching him, along with George, John, and Paul.

He knelt down to hold Jeremy in his arms.

"Thank goodness you're alright! I thought that we were about to fight. But, you showed them what was bright, and now we're all out of fright!"

"Aw. Thank you, Jeremy," Ringo said as Jeremy buried his head in his chest.

"Well, I must say I'm impressed Ringo," John stated, looking at him.

"I never thought that you would pull through."

"Yeah. We're all proud of you," Paul said.

"I was worrying that you were hurt," George told him.

Ringo chuckled.

"Well, to be honest, I'm surprised that I'm okay myself."

"But, what about the instruments?" George asked.

Hearing the question, the Chief turned towards them.

"Why, they don't need to do that, " he said in a soft voice, "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band can show us the full power of that. I must say that I am quite excited to hear it."

"T-trust me... it is b-beautiful..."

Randel's voice was faint and shaky as he stumbled towards Ringo.

All attention was on him now.

"R-Randel?"

"I..."

Randel fell on his side, moaning loudly as the warm feeling grew even larger.

"Randel!"
