"and have you thought about it?" Cali asked as she placed a plate in front of Amori. She sighed before pushing food back and forth to make sure nothing touches before taking a bite. "I have racked my brain over this for days. It's been 2 weeks and still don't know what to say to him Cal." She replied. "What do you want?" Amori looked at her out of the corner of her eye sadly. "Mori!" Cal called. She shrugged. "I know everything Luca wanted with me, I didn't want with him. It wasn't right but something about him feels-" A knock on the door stopped the conversation. Cal looked out of the peephole and opened the door with a smile. "It's for you." Amori carefully walked to the door, only for her heart to race at the sight of Dallas with a giant bear, a gift box, and a porch surrounded by sunflowers. "Dallas, what's this?" She asked. "I know I said I would give you space but I don't think I could let another second go by without seeing you." She smiled breathlessly. He handed her a box. She closed the door and took a seat on the bench. Upon opening, she discovered a small French bulldog puppy wearing a note saying "Will you be my girlfriend?" She giggled and stood in front of him. "You're cute or whatever." He chuckled. "Damn right I'm cute." She giggled again. "So what you say?" She smiled and walked up to him and reached the tips of her toes while nodding her head yes and planting a warm gentle kiss on his lips. He sighed contently as they melted into each other. "SHE SAID YES!" They heard her sister scream in front of the window and on face time with all of the siblings. "Cal!" She ran away from the window and let them be.

"Girlfriend huh?" She looked and asked him. He chuckled. "Don't you know we practically married?" He joked with a bright smile. "Once the moms talk we will be." She added. "Is this something you really want because I can be patient for as long as you need. I don't want it to feel like I'm pressuring you." He told her as they sat on the bench behind the rows of flowers. "All of this." She referred to everything he'd just done and the gentle words she spoke. "Is more than reassurance. You have always been my best friend and you've always had the most gentle heart I'd ever been lucky enough to witness and now you have an amazing son who is just the same, so yes, a million times yes, I'm more than sure that I want to be with you, Dallas."

Sitting across the street, in his own car, unnoticed, Luca watched the exchange. Instantly going from love to betrayal. Time and time again she'd said they were only best friends but he could never believe it. He wanted to talk and smooth things over with Amouri. He had been in love with her for as long as he could remember. He thought she'd felt the same. He came back to put his insecurities, his pride, and his ego to the side to resolve things with the woman he wanted to marry. In the end, he felt as if he could never truly trust her anymore. In the bank of his mind, he'd always wonder if she was saying what if, or wondering if she made a mistake. The last thing his heavy heart could possibly carry is regret, lack of trust, and guilt. He knew it was the end of the road for them so he decided to pick up his life and move. Move on to a change of scenery, new beginnings, and hopefully new real love along the way. He looked back to a house he'd always felt warm and happy towards once was now a dark shadow overcasting on his heart.
