Chapter thirty two

Loki's POV

We arrived at Shield and I quickly rushed in. Thor followed me and Agents looked at me in worry. 

Thor jogged a bit to match my pace and he lead me to a room. 

I saw the other Avengers sitting around a table and they stared at me,

"He deserves to be here."

I heard Thor say and I stood away from them. I crossed my arms and leaned against a wall. the archer stared at me for a second until he turned away, paying attention to whatever conversations they were having,

"Can't we find her location again? We have the ring."

Clint asked and I stared at all of them near the table,

"We only had enough power in it to track her down once. She would only use things to float over to her or us sometimes."

Bruce said as he pinched the bridge of his nose. 

"Steve? Is something wrong?"

I heard Natasha say and she too seemed worried like the soldier,

"Y/N said something weird to me when we were fighting."

I perked my head up and stared at Steve.

"What did she say?"

They turned to me and Steve sighed,

"She said Hail Hydra"

I furrowed my brows at him and I stood straighter.

"You think they're behind this?"

Clint asked him and Tony brought his hands up to his face,

"I mean, it's pretty obvious. You think she would just say that and attack us?"

Clint sighed and I walked over to the table, between Thor and Steve.

"Can't we just go to their base and make them stop this?"

I turned to Thor and I bit the inside of my cheek.

"We can't. Their bases are hidden well and even if we did find them, they already completely wiped her memories. She can't remember us."

Tony said and I perked my head up once more. She can't remember anything? 

"she remembered me."

I turned my head to Natasha.

"She had me under her, I shot past her face to stun her but it ended up grazing her. she held her ear but then she looked at me and called out my name."

I furrowed my brows slightly and she looked at me,

"So we can get her memories back by noise?"

I asked her and she shrugged,

"Highly unlikely."

I turned my head back over to Bruce and he took off his glasses,

"Hydra had her for ten months. Throughout the duration of her stay, I'm assuming they wiped her memories little by little , they would have had time to find out what's wrong and how to correct it."

I swallowed the lump in my throat and I walked away from the table. 

"Loki? Where are you going?"

I heard Thor ask me and I didn't answer him. I walked outside and to the back of Shield and I stared up to the sky with my eyes closed. 

"I wish I was there to protect you."
