"Uh... sir could you excuse us for a minute?" I asked
"Sure.." he replied
I quickly dragged Lia towards the corner .
"What??" She screamed-whispered
"Oh nothing..just that THAT'S MY DAD OVER THERE!" I whisper-scream replied
Her facial expressions suddenly changed. She looked pale.
"Well..not here..Brent does not have his parents...anymore" she said
"Wait wh.."
"Are you guys done?" Mr.Clark spoke.
I nodded back.
"So..Brent what did you do before applying here?"
"Uhh..i used to.."
"Do work for a pizza place named Pizza Phantom. It's quite famous. The reason he left was that they were very rude and strict But he worked very hard and never let a customer go without a smile ." Lia interrupted (Thank God)
"That.." i finished
"I'm not sure who i'm supposed to interview.." Mr.Clark said.
"So what can you do?" He asked professionally
"Well..i can make coffees basically i can do anything!" I answered confidently"I'll be grateful with whatever job you give me!"
"Any?" He answered with one eye brow raised.
"Any but garbage duty he means.." Lia said.
He looked down on his table and picked up a piece of paper.
"Fine. You make coffees then. If i don't hear any complains for this whole week.. you'll stay."
"Wont let you down." I smiled
As we headed out a girl named Ash took my number. She told me she was the secratary and would text me the timings and futher details of the job.
"So..That was something" Lia said as we both sat in her car.
I wasn't sure what to say so i decided to change the topic.
"So where are we headed?" I asked.
"My place, i have to return these to Damian. " she said while handing me black headphones from the backseat.
"Damian..as in your twin brother?"
" what? " she said while laughing." Yes my brother,elder brother. Wait a minute you're saying i have a ... twin in your.."
"Yup..Ryan"
"Bruh..what the actual heck?" She gasped
"I mean .. i don't know all i ever wanted was to create a time machine that works..instead i created.."
"A different reality.."
I sighed. A thought came over me.
"Wait..you said i don't have any parents here but am i still the only child?"
"Dude..you have a sister here....."
"A sister?!? What's her name? Is she older than me?" I asked in shock
"Older..her name is.."
"Wait." I interrupted "let me guess,Ava?"
"Na-uh" she said
"Lyla?,Reagan?,Jennifer?,Beyonce??" I suggested
She laughed "None of those!"
"Then what?"
"Harper. Plus, she lives out of city"
We arrived at Lia's house,The same.
She opened the door and i saw Damian on the sofa.
He instantly shouted,"WATCH OUT THEY'RE BEHIND YOU!"
