"i cant believe we're actually fuckin' do this." alex groaned as will pushed him into his room. his tidy set up setting the mood for the video they were about to film.
alex tried his best to avoid reading fanfiction. mostly because it always managed to fluster him somehow. maybe it was because alex was just too awkward to read about himself and his friends. maybe it was a bit deeper than that, but he ignored that possibility just as much. the very last thing he needed was to develop a weird crush on one of his best friends.
"you'll have fun, i promise!" will reassured as he forced the young man down onto the chair. "we can read the non-smutty ones."
"okay, no dodgy ones." alex huffed. "we readin' the x reader ones, right?" he asked hopefully.
"uh," will sat down, moving his mouse around to revive the screen. "no."
alex cursed under his breath causing will to laugh. "there's no script either. i haven't read any of these."
"yeah, you told me that earlier." alex mumbled. "but you've picked them out, right?"
"some, yeah."
"some?"
will nodded, checking his lighting. "yeah, i found one with me an' you called veronica. it was brilliant, that one. very well written, i genuinely couldn't put my phone down."
"really?" alex asked awkwardly.
will chuckled, nodding along. "i was shaggin' ksi, james, and some lass named veronica. even sucked you dry on the london eye- i think." will smirked.
alex shifted nervously. "wow." his chuckle was anything but sincere.
the thought of will being that close to him made his stomach drop and his cheeks turned a darker shade. "anyway, can you press record?"
alex moved quickly, catching both men by surprise. he sat back in his seat slowly, avoiding eye contact. he needed to relax, it wasn't that serious.
"you a'right?" asked will.
"yup." he popped the p. "are you goin' to do your intro, or what?" he decided to play off.
"yeah, sorry." will shook his head, before plastering a smile on his face. he took a deep breath before letting it out. "right, okay, so today me an' alex, 'ere-"
"hi!" alex waved gently at the camera.
"you're cute, you."
alex blushed. "thanks."
"me an' alex are goin' on wattpad, yay!" will clapped excitedly before dropping his hands down to his mouse. as will pulled up the website, alex tried to calm himself.
