I do not own PJO or HOO, Rick Riordan does!!

"To Kansas now?" Leo said.

"Yeah. To Kansas."

****************************************************************************

It didn't take long to get there. Being gods, we could easily get to Kansas. The long part was gathering Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter's forces.

Nico gathered the Warriors to Kansas.

I was sure Tartarus would be able to sense the masses waiting for him at the plain fields of Kansas.

I had chosen this place due to it being an abandoned area, therefore it was likely that innocent mortals wouldn't get hurt.

However, that all depended on if we managed to stop Tartarus.

If we were unable to destroy him here, world destruction would be inevitable.

That was a big feat to think of. Tartarus had managed to paralyse the mighty gods of Olympus, who were many times stronger and experienced than us gods.

There was a slight glimmer of hope though.

To revert to close to his true form, it must have taken a huge amount of energy. He would be at his weakest.

But then again, how powerful was Tartarus? He could easily destroy our whole army with another burst of his true form.

I breathed heavily. I had to stay calm and positive for the rest of us.

Jason placed his hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry," he said, "We'll defeat him. And we'll get the gods and Annabeth back to normal. I promise this on my life."

I nodded my head. Here Jason was reassuring me, when it should've been me reassuring everyone else and keeping their hopes up.

I looked back, to where I could see the demigods from both camps marching towards us.

There were roughly about 400 of us, which was a drastic improvement from when I fought Kronos in Manhattan years ago.

I wondered what had actually happened to Kronos.

Due to Tartarus coming up to the surface, did that mean that the regeneration of monsters had slowed down? I hoped so.

"Haha. Fool. Do you really think those measly demigods can survive against my hordes of monsters?"

My head stung in pain. Tartarus' voice echoed in my ears.

"Don't try to insult my power by sending demigods who can't even stand against my underlings!"

"Yo Percy. You alright?" Leo asked.

Everyone was looking at me, as I had my hands on my head, and my face was drawn in pain.

"It was Tartarus." I said.

They looked at me, shocked.

"I think he's coming."

"Humph. About time." Frank said, with a smirk. He was good at hiding his emotions. It did well to keep the morale of the troops up.

Far in the distance, figures could be seen gathering together. I guessed these were Tartarus's troops.

A couple of fodder monsters would be nothing for us.

But something seemed odd.

It didn't feel like Tartarus had arrived. It didn't feel like he was the one leading the troops.
