(Third person POV)

Tartarus walked out of Clarions Ladies Academy with a smug look on his face.

The fire bell of the school was ringing, and students were fleeing out of the building.

'Where else can I go to find out about the prophecy?' Tartarus thought. The fire bell carried on ringing, loud enough for the pit Lord to get annoyed.

"Agh! Insolent fools! Begone!"

He shouted, and with a wave of his hand, the school exploded. With just that one motion, he had ended the lives of many young mortals, all for nothing.

Tartarus paused for a moment to think. Suddenly, he had a wicked glint in his eyes and his posture sharpened.

'Ah, yes. How did I not think of this before? Of course he'd know.... Chiron, son of Kronos, you will tell me the prophecy....."

***************************************************************************

I slowed down time to allow myself to hit Kronos perfectly.

Kronos seemed to accelerate time so he could make a faster hit.

Our weapons collided.

And the whole place erupted.

BOOOOOM!

The last thing I knew, I was flying in the air.

Then everything went black.

It might have been a few minutes, it might have been an hour, I didn't know.

I couldn't keep track of the time.

I opened my eyes, and looked around.

I was lying down on a downwards slope. Not that far ahead of me, about 50 meters, was the body of Kronos, also lying on an identical slope.

I managed to get to my feet. The impact of our blades colliding had caused the earth beneath us to break and form a crater.

I tried to lift riptide, but my arm felt heavy. I saw Kronos begin to rise to his feet.

Ichor flowed down his face.

'Perseus Jackson....' He began to croak. 'Time itself is breaking due to the presence of both of us. If it carries on like this, time will cease to exist.'
