I cupped Els face with my hands she looked up at me with her sweet smile and gorgeous eyes. Our eyes interlocked. Our faces inched closer together by the second and our lips collided. Sparks ran through my body like fireworks. We separated for a brief second when our lips found there way back to each other again. As we pulled apart I looked down at El, her eyes still closed. As they fluttered open the whole world paused around me, I wanted to keep this moment forever.
"El, I love you so much, I have for so long and I know we're only teenagers and have only known each other for 4 years but I love you." I said, meaning every word that I poured my heart and soul into. "Mike.." El whispered as she looked up at me, " I love you too." She said and rubbed my cheek then kissed me again.
Els P.O.V

Our kiss lasted for a couple seconds longer and I grabbed mikes hand and pulled him over to our fort. He made some eggos and I put on miami vice because hopper wasn't there to watch it with me. I cuddled up to mikes chest and he played with the curls in my hair, everything was perfect. Suddenly everything went dark.
Mikes P.O.V

I watched El as she fell asleep in my arms. She was so gorgeous. All of a sudden Els arms started flapping around. "MIKE! MIKE! HELP ME! HE'S COMING, THE BAD MEN, THE DEMOGORGAN!" El screamed, terror in her voice. I shook her awake "El, El wake up everything is gonna be alright!". She woke up in sweats "The demogorgan.. it got me." El said breathlessly collapsing into my arms.
"El everything is gonna be alright." I said calmly. I picked El up and carried her to her bed. I tucked her into her bed and slowly walked out of the room to go to the couch when I heard El whisper "mike, can you come sleep with me?" I walked into her room "I don't think hopper would like-" I was saying but she cut me off. "I don't care what hopper says! Mike please." She asked. I walked into Els room and turned off the light leaving the door open 3 inches. I hopped into bed with El and wrapped my arms around her, she snuggled closer to me and looked into my eyes "I love you mike." El whispered snuggling her head into my chest. "I love you too." I replied quietly kissing her head then closing my eyes and letting my dreams flood my head.
