Chapter 1 - best friends

'Hurry up El' I shouted as I sat at the kitchen table eating some eggos.

El I met when we were 10. I found her in the forest looking for Will when he got stuck in the upside down, she was a lab rat when we found her but she's gotten better now. But that was 4 years ago and we've grown closer ever since then.

We couldn't imagine life without each other. We are also best friends with Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max and Suzie (Suzie is Dustin's girlfriend) but El and I are definitely the closest out of all. I think might have feelings for her but I don't want to ruin our friendship.

Tomorrow is the start of school because we just had Summer break but I wish it was the start of Summer then I could spend more time with El.

She can't start school for another year for safety reasons. Hopper said he was just scared for her because she's very precious to him but I think he meant she's too gorg.. I mean..don't worry.

Today we start school  and El had a sleepover at mine, even though I had school today. She had to sleep on my bed with me but Hopper said no funny business aha.

When I woke up this morning I could feel El stroking her fingers through my curly hair. "Good morning Mikey." El says tiredly, "Good morning El." I whisper half asleep. She pushes herself closer to me and rubs her nose against mine, I feel like she might be catching feelings as well, just a thought.

All day at school I couldn't stop thinking about El. I asked her in the Summer for a couple of photos for her because it was for her birthday present but then I asked her if one photo could be mine forever to carry everywhere I go and she said "only if I get one too.".

We were sitting in the cafeteria for lunch and I kept zoning out every time Lucas would be like "ooo someone's dreaming about El." And everyone started laughing but I just chuckled.
As I got home I remembered I wasn't going to see El for a whole week. Why can't it just be Friday all ready.
