Taehyung woke up later than usual, as today was Saturday and he didn't have classes.
1492.
He sighed loudly, he had no motivation for the day, but he forced himself to get up.
As he walked to the kitchen, he heard someone knocking harshly at his door.
He flinched but went slowly to open the door, as the door cracked open he was faced by two police officers.
"Um, hello?" He said.
"Is this the house of Kim Taehyung?" one of them asked.
"Yes, that's me." He answered, he tried not to show how scared he was.
"Well Taehyung, the son of Kim Heechul, a man who has been caught attempting to escape the country, someone reported to us that you were at the house of two criminals that have escaped a few days ago, may we know why were you there?" An officer said.
"Yerim was a friend of mine, I was very shocked to hear the news of her escape so I went to ask her family about what happened." He answered immediately, his hands were sweating and he tried his best not to show any sign of hesitation.
"Ah, I see. We have been given orderes to investigate this house to make sure there are no criminals, I hope that what you said was right and you had no other intentions." One of them said as he pushed him aside and started rummaging over the house.
"W-what's going on?" Taeyeon, Taehyung's mother said.
"Oh, nothing is wrong mom don't worry, the government is just checking up on us because of the recent events of criminals that escaped the country." He half lied.
"Oh." She simply said, his mother despised the country just as much as Taehyung did, she felt utter disgust but she pushed her feelings aside and made the impression of someone that was not bothered by what was happening.
They just stared as the police officers didn't bat them an eye.
Suddenly, they heard a voice, "What is this?" Followed by Taehyung's name being called.
He was so afraid but he didn't even know why, he didn't have contact with anyone outside the country so why was he this scared?
He quickly went to where the officers were, which was his room and his eyes widened as he found them staring at his drawings.
"From where did you get these?" One of them sternly asked.
"I drew them myself." He said.
"Oh really? These look too perfect for you to draw them, if what you are saying is true draw one here infront of us." They said scoffing, they genuinely thought Taehyung was lying.
He nodded his head, his hands were trembling but he reached for his pen and paper and started drawing the exact copy of the drawing they handed to him.
30 minutes later, he showed them the perfect drawing and they looked quite surprised.
"Oh, looks like he wasn't lying." One of them said to the other that nodded his head.
"Alright, we haven't found anything suspicious here, we will take our leave but don't think we won't keep an eye on you." One of them said to which Taehyung nodded his head.
As the two police officers left the house, Taehyung let go of a long breath he didn't know he was holding.
His mother huffed as she said, "Aren't those asshole ever going to leave us alone? First they were going after my husband and now my son."
Taehyung sighed, if he ever felt hopeless before, he now felt it more than any other time in his life.
He still was searching for a way to reach someone from South Korea and as hard as that it, now the police are keeping an eye on him.
He was just meant to stay here and suffer for his entire life, and he had nothing to do about it.
He went to his room, closed the door then curled himself into a ball in his bed and let out the tears he was holding. There was no point in trying, he will always just fail at the end.

Jungkook froze as he listened to the conversation between the two men infront of him, he was not eavesdropping, they were just speaking too loudly.
Right?
As they made their way outside the zoo while talking, without a second thought Jungkook's legs guided him to the two men as he ran their way.
He approached them as he bowed and said, "Excuse me, can you please wait."
They looked his way suspiciously and allowed him to talk.
"I'm so sorry but I think I have randomly heard you discussing something about North Korean defectors? My father works in an organisation that helpes the escapees and I was just curious to ask you something." He said in one breath, he didn't know what came after him but he needed answers.
"Oh, I see. You can ask us anything but let's go to the bench there, and by the way my name is Namjoon." The man with the dimples said.
Yoongi looked at him briefly then nodded at Namjoon's words, "I'm Yoongi." he said
Jungkook nodded happily, "I'm Jungkook." he said and left with the two, completely forgetting about Jihyo that witnessed the whole thing.
"Well, maybe it's something important? I shouldn't jump on conclusions." She said pouting.
As they made their way to the bench, Namjoon asked, "What do you want to know?"
"Well, I'm looking for someone in North Korea, all I know is his name, his father's name and that his father has been in contact with someone from South Korea four years ago." Jungkook said, "I want to know if you knew anyone that helped North Koreans at that period?" he asked.
"Why are you looking for him?" Yoongi interrupted.
"Well, my recently escapee friend has been friends with him and I know he needs help to leave the country." He said.
"I'm not sure, but maybe I know someone who may know who you are looking for." Namjoon said.
"Who?" Jungkook asked.
"His name is Kim Seokjin," Namjoon replied, "He lives in Gwacheon, I know he's familiar with those things."
"Oh, do you have his number?" Jungkook asked.
"Wait a minute," Namjoon said as he was checking his phone, "Ah, here it is." he said as he showed Jungkook the number.
"Thank you so much kind sir!" Jungkook said, feeling absolutely delighted.
