Eight Years later...

Sounds of sparing filled the small courtyard of the Keep of Verona.

"Kieraan! Watch for you left side! Valass! Your footing! Mind your balance!"

The male flinched, closing his eyes as young Valass had been launched away from his target, and Kieraan was stuck within his young sisters grip, having him on one knee.

He attempted to throw her off of him over his shoulders, yet in doing so, she merely took her footing on the ground, and threw him harshly to the ground instead.

The older male only shook his head with a sigh before his mate had greeted him with a soft hand to his shoulder, leaning over his shoulder.

"We have a visitor, love." She said softly, directing his attention behind him.

Xytan had removed his helmet, walking up to his old friend.

"Torak..." He greeted him as they locked hands with firm grips.

All three of their attention's went to the yard as the sound of a collision filled their senses with a resounding groan of the unpleasant show of force.

Xytan had gone down the steps, just standing at the edge of the yard, and leaned against one of the pillars, and watched his son and daughter spar.

He couldn't help but smile at his eight year old daughter besting his thirteen year old son, and first born.

Eight years ago on this day. his white jewel had given him his precious gem.

"Syrri..." He called her name, and in an instant after she'd twisted her brothers arm, sending him to his knees in pain after his failed swing at her, she stopped, eyes wide with eagerness and intriguement.

He smiled at her, and without hesitation, she released Kieraan, and immediately rushed to him.

He knelled down, and had caught her leaping at him, her arms tight around his neck, nuzzling into his jaws as he nuzzled her back.

"I've missed you!" She said joyfully, lifting her head, pushing his upward in her force.

He chuckled at her, pushing back, muzzle to muzzle with her, purring in the closeness of being with his daughter again.

"Happy birthday, my little jewel..." He said softly.

Xytan then switched to Kieraan, and nuzzled him as well, holding his son close.

"Father..." He nuzzled back.

"Kieraan... My dear son..." He seperated from him, hand on his shoulder, looking at his son pridefully.

"Look at you... Already a strapping, young male..." He said to him.

"I'm not too sure about that, yet, father." They chuckled with one another as Valass was still kept as a distance.

Xytan looked to him, and smiled at him as well.

"You, too, Valass..." The young male then stepped forward, and accepted the Admiral's embrace.

"I trust that you three have been faring well?" He looked at them.

"We have. We've done much since you've been here last, father." Kieraan stated.

"Good... I'll be most intrigued to see your progress, seeing already that Syrri has bested you both."

Syrri lifted her head pridefully, eyes burning with a fire to keep impressing her father.
