Your room door burst open, swivelling back and slamming against your wall. With the force that it was thrown open, you wouldn't be surprised if you saw an indent of your door handle etched into your wall. You scrambled off your bed, taking a blanket with you to the ground. In came your mother, seething, and something clenched tightly in her hand.

You didn't dare move forward. The expression on her face was something you'd never seen before.

''What have you done.''

You looked at her, eyes riddled with confusion. Her gaze was zeroed down on you, awaiting your confession. To what?

She stayed put in the doorway, her form slightly hunched over- like she'd just got done sprinting a marathon. Did she run up to your room? Your mother never ran. She always walked, never sped up- even when or if she was in a hurry. With how big the house was, you wondered how she got from a to b without at least speed walking.

''What are you on about?'' You asked, slightly irritated. You've told your parents multiple times not to come into your room without knocking first (You actually told them to stay OUT of your room, but they'd altered the agreement slightly). And after coming home from school- not really, you didn't go to school today. You went out with Benji and some of his friends to watch a movie- you were tired. And your parents knew not to disturb you after school.

''You know exactly what I'm on about. How- how could you be so stupid?'' She spat the words out, one hand coming up to rub her temple.

''What the fuck do you mean?'' You were getting defensive. Your tone was sharp and nasty, and an ugly snarl made its way onto your lips. One that didn't flatter your face.

''You do not get to talk to me like that. That language, that attitude towards me and your father is unacceptable. How dare you come in this house and-'' she stopped. Scrunching her nose up, she took a step towards you. You stood your ground, hands balled up into fists and bare feet curling into the carpeted ground. ''Is that- Is that weed?'' She stood in front of you, and sniffed again, taking a whiff near your neck. ''Did you go out smoking again?''

You were about to retaliate. So what if you smoked? That's none of her business.

''You stupid girl!'' Her hands came up to claw at your shoulders, the screeching of her voice piercing your ears. ''How can you be so selfish!'' She shook you back and forth, her fingers digging into your shoulders. The object she had clutched into her hand dug into your back painfully. It was as if she was trying to shake an answer out of you.

Answer to what?!

''Let go!'' You tried prying her fingers off of your shoulders. ''You bitch, what the fuck is wrong with you?!''

''No!'' She stopped shaking you. ''What is wrong with you.'' She threw the object to the ground in front of your feet, and to your horror, it was the pregnancy test you'd taken yesterday. The two pink lines shone brightly back at you, patronizing you. Reminding you.

''Where did you get that?'' You made sure to throw it away. You buried it deep in the bathroom trashcan, under all sorts of rubbish.

''What were you thinking,'' she seethed her words out, ignoring your question ''Oh wait. You probably weren't thinking. You never do.''

''Get over yourself.'' You crouched down to the ground and picked up the stick.

She sent you a glare and watched you throw away the stick into your trashcan. It lay on top of all the cigarette boxes and beer bottles combined. A few tiny (empty) spirit bottles lay mixed in between all the other drinks. And your mother (sadly) realised one day that no, the red bull and coke she was buying for her daughter wasn't to keep her up all night studying (well it kept her up all night, but not for studying).
