• CHRIS'S POV •

"It's just a lovers quarrel, they'll kiss and make up in an hour tops." I told mike as I watched my best friends fighting over a silly topic. They were fighting over a story they read and the both of them had their own opinions on it.

"Lay you don't understand! The guy-!" Layton cut chad off.

"No, you are the one that doesn't understand! He was going towards the narrator but got stopped by the other girl!"

"He stopped at the other girl because she was his soul mate!" They both had read this story about soul mates. Like it said that when someone found their soulmate they were automatically drawn to one another. And the story they read was two girls and one guy and they both have an opinion oh how the ending was. "The narrator lost her soulmate!"

"Baby, he was her soulmate but he got distracted by the other girl. He made a mistake! Why else was she drawn to him?" Neither of them looked like they were going to give in any time soon. They've been bickering all day about it pretty much saying the same thing all day. I'm not really concerned because i know how much they love each other. They'll make up soon enough.

"Boys will you stop fighting? We have Christmas shopping to do and i don't wanna hear you fighting all day." They both turned and glared at me. They don't scare me though, they're giant babies.

Layton sighed and gave in "fine, but we'll continue this later. I'm still determined. Can I have a kiss?" He turned to chad with a small smile. I know he too didn't want to fight anymore. Chad nodded and they pecked each other.

"Hey I'm gonna go grab our lunch, come with Chris it's just across the street from the mall." Mike said turning to me. Right now we were just lounging around at the park close to the mall. All of us bundled up in our winter coats. Fresh snow covering the ground. I nodded at mike and got up with him.

I started to walk with him. "We'll meet you there. We can all eat there then go to the mall." Layton said to us and I gave him a thumbs up to let him know i was listening.

• Layton's POV •

I stayed back with chad so i could get a few extra kisses from him. But I'm not letting him go with the soulmate thing. I'll get him to see the truth eventually. "Baby are you cold?" I took his hand in mine and asked after pecking his lips.

He smiled slightly and moved closer to me. He nodded his head and I kissed him again. "So why aren't we going along with them? I'm freezing." I shoved out connected hands in my pocket to try and keep him warm.

"We are staying back because no matter how determined I am to win this argument I want you to know I love you and I wanted to give you some kisses while we're still alone." I gave him another small kiss and felt how cold his lips were. "But we can start going now, you are cold." I kissed him again before he had a chance to respond. I moved my other hand up to his cheek and felt the coldness again. "Ok you're too cold for my liking, lets go." We starting walking towards where Chris and mike we're going and stopped in front of the mall at the cross walk. The entire time walking i kept feeling the box in my pants pocket. It's so uncomfortable, and frankly it's starting to get painful to carry around. Not only that but I'm extremely nervous and anxious. I know Chad loves me but is it too soon? Should I save this for later? I remember what chads mom said.
