The night came swiftly and you were wide awake. Moonlight glowed across the earth below and you stood with hands pressed against the window. Tonight, you would dance beneath the moon in all her glory and tomorrow you would sleep the day away.

A werewolf was most content during a full moon. The moon goddess always quelled the magic in their blood. Many powerful, sacred moments and covenants took place beneath the full moon, but tonight would only bring peace for you and your new pack.

The moment you stepped outside and the moon enveloped you in her splendor, your body succumbed to her influence without question. You came to stand on four paws and tossed your head with delight, stretching your limbs and back as if you had just woken from a long dream.

One by one, the wolf boys joined you in their true forms, flanking their new female and practically shivering with excitement. You wagged your tail before tipping your nose to the star-studded sky and howling your song to the moon.

The boys joined you in singing praises to the goddess, their voices each a different note, searching for harmony to balance with yours. As the alpha female, you were the dominant melody and they were a vibrant compliment to your song.

You paused to take a breath, smiling with joy at the low timbres of their howls and what a beautiful symphony the five of you made together. You could feel the moon swelling with pride and sang a little louder with gratitude that she accepted and blessed the union of your new pack.

The boys were no different. You could sense their hearts swelling with emotion beneath the moon's embrace. For so long they had waited to be part of a family again. It was a pain a she-wolf could never hope to understand. Males were driven away at half-grown and awaited the day a female would accept them and make them whole again. Some males would wait an eternity and never know the love of a mate.

Not your boys. They were yours and you were theirs.

You sang the last of your melody and turned to face your wolves. They finished their howls and centered their attention on you, wanting to see how you would spend the night with the full moon.

I'm going to run until I can run no more, you told them with glee, golden eyes glistening.

Jackson bobbed his head. It sounded like a fantastic idea to him.

Jaebeom rumbled softly, You cannot go alone.

Mark stepped forward and asserted, She won't be alone.

You closed off your emotions from the others in that moment and allowed gratitude to pass to Mark. Ever predictable, of course Jaebeom would not allow you to scour the woods on your own. You were relieved beyond relief that Mark offered to guard you.

Jaebeom acquiesced and gave Mark stern orders that he made sure you could not hear.

Meanwhile, Jinyoung approached and the two of you rubbed your fluffy cheeks together in a farewell.

You asked sweetly, Will I hear you sing?

Oh, yes, Jinyoung replied. He had many more songs to offer to the moon.

Jaebeom would too. You gathered the alpha and the beta would choose separate corners of the perimeter and howl until their lungs gave out. Wolves nearby would know the territory was claimed and not to be disturbed.

You gave Jinyoung one last nuzzle of affection and sent him on his way. Before parting, Jaebeom came to you and brushed his nose against yours. He wanted your scent on him, and you were pleased by the gesture.

Jackson leapt from the stairs without a second thought, but you immediately called the delta back. He returned with his furry head lowered in submission, abashed that he had forgotten to say goodbye. You chuckled, feeling him overflowing with energy and about to burst. He was the sun incarnate.
