Chapter 4: The Beach

The after party was over so we decided to go to Panera for dinner. We finished eating and started talking about where we should go.

"Where should we go next?" asked Sam.

"How about the beach?" suggested Connor.

We all agreed so we headed to the beach. In the car, Maria asked me what Jc and I talked about.

"We just got to know each other" I replied, looking at the road cause I was driving.

"One step closer to your guy's relationship" She squealed.

"Shut up" I looked at her and laughed.

"It's true" She said.

"Whatever" I started thinking what it would be like if Jc and I were a couple. It would never happen.

We arrived at the beach a couple minutes later.

**JC'S POV**

I saw Katy get out her car and I started smiling. I just met her today but I feel like I've known her forever. Kian came up to me.

"Hey" He said.

"Sup" I said putting my attention on him instead of Katy.

"We're you smiling while looking at Katy?" He smirked

"No, I was uh-uh thinking about how much fun were gonna have" That was not a good save.

"Yeah right" He knows me too well.

"She's so pretty and nice. I definitely want to get to know her more." I told him.

"Ask for her number" He said.

"I am but when we're about to leave" I replied.

"Don't chicken out" He laughed.

"I won't"

We all came together in a big circle.

"Now what?" Asked Trevor.

"How about we do a bonfire?" Suggested Katy.

That's perfect. "Yeah!" I said a little too excited. Everyone laughed and agreed. We split into three groups to find wood. I was in a group with Kian and Katy. Maria, Andrea, and Connor were in an another group. So that left Ricky, Sam, and Trevor in a group.

We goofed around and I gave Katy a piggy back ride. I like when she laughs and smiles. We all came back together and started the fire.

**KATY'S POV**

It was dark outside so this was perfect. Everybody sat down so I walked over to Jc and sat down next to him. I smiled at him and he smiled back. Maria sat next to me. We had a great time! We laughed and told stories.

"It's late, I gotta get going" I told Jc.

"I'll walk you to your car" He said while standing up. Maria and I said goodbye to everyone.

We got to the car and Maria got in.

"I'll be back" I told her.

"Okay" she nodded.

"I had a great time" I smiled.

"Me too. Um, wanna trade numbers so we can keep in touch?" He said putting his hand on the back of his neck.

"Sure!"

"I gotta go now, see you around" I hugged him and he hugged back.

"Bye" He smiled.

I got in the car and turned it on.

"I saw you two flirting" Maria squealed.

I laughed while backing out of the parking spot. I drove away smiling.
