"Lia!" A little girl's voice calls. It sounded far away and eochy.

Opening my eyes, I was laying in a meadow. The sky is a beautiful blue and thick fluffy clouds rolled threw.

Around my vision is filled with all sorts of colorful petals and thick curls of my hair.

The warmth of the sun felt nice and relaxing. Taking a deep breath I slowly close my eyes realizing I'm in the sun. The sun i miss so much.

"Lia!" The voice says again. The voice was right next to me and they dragged the vowels of the name a bit longer.

As I reopened my eyes an a body collapse on me. Groaning I start pushing the small petite form off of me and she giggles. She sits up, sitting on her knees and loss at me smiling. It was Emmie.

Her marking was darker and higher up on her face. Her big toothy grin took up her whole face. "Momma wants us inside. We have guest coming and I must introduce myself. She wants you to rest."

I sit up and cross my legs and stare at her.

"Come on Lia! We have to go bath."

Emmie looks younger here. In the library she looked like she was in her teenage years. In the hospital definitely younger. But she looks about, 8?

I couldn't tell.

She grabs my hands and pulls me. "Come on. Are you just going to sit there staring at me!" She pulls harder, and up on my feet and pulls me to the porch.

The house looks like the one that was on fire. The same mansion feel.

Three stories, stone and wood exterior, wrap around porch and large windows that are wide open, drapes flowing outside of the windows.

It was quite beautiful.

Next thing i know, i blink and Emmie and I are in the shower. Her back is too me and I was sitting against the wall.

Her hair is up and covered in soap. Her head is swaying side to side and she hummed while washing her hair.

Looking to her right side I saw more of the mark on her jaw line.

It extended down her arm and wrapped in a slow descending spiral.

Her Mark, is mine. The same swirls. The same weird symbol in it. Everything.

My heart dropped and I reached over to touch her but my body stopped listening to me. I was washing as little hands grabbed soap and scrubbed my body.

My eyes fell on my body, the body I was trapped in, hip. And there it was, black wispy lines on my hip. From my rib cage down to my knee.

It wasn't white though, but a dark grey. Emmies is solid and black, mine is just soft and smokey.

I look back at her and I'm back at that night, with younger me staring at me. The smell of smoke fills my lungs. The heat from the fire reaching out to me.

"St..." younger me says. She starts but the word gets cut off. "... an .... Save ... Plea .... st ... sav ... ie." Tears rolls down her face and the screaming starts.

"Save...?" I ask, my voice echoing. "Save who?"

But instead of ringing like last time, she was screaming. 'Save-.'

Gasping for air I bolt upright and gasp. "Emmie!" I yell gasping. Arms held me down so i didn't sit up. Beads of sweat roll down my face as I struggle under this person.

I needed to save her. I need to get to her. She needs me.

But who is she? This is some girl I'm probably making up. I'm pretty sure she's not real. But it feels real....

"Amilia!" The person says and tighten their muscles. Slowly I calm down, breathing heavy I look up and see Desmond. He looked mad.

"What ... happened?" I huff. I was pressed against his back his arms around my waist. We both were on the floor and I played lazily between his legs.

"Where were you?" Haley hisses and stalks over. Looking at her, he walks over, her wrist pink but slowly fading.

"What-" we both say. I look at Desmond and he nods toward me, I guess he's letting me speak. "What do you mean?"

"You died pet." She says stopping at my feet. She looked mad as well. "Your soul left your body as I threw you. And a couple minutes after Desmond caught you, you came back screaming someone's name. So you traveler, where did you go, who taught you?"

"I don't understand..." I say. Desmonds arms tighten around me.

"Let me say this in human terms." She growls and squats in front of me. "Who are you? Why do you have powers?"

"You don't have to answer her." Desmond says and stands up bringing me with him. He puts me behind him a bit.

"If you have too, so do you Desmond." She says.

"I do it out of courtesy and politeness. But last time I checked, you weren't my royal. I take orders and follow her. Not you."

Haley looked furious.

Her eyes went black and she hissed. Her presence took over. And it weighed a ton. Getting heavier by the second.

I gripped Desmonds hand but he didn't seem to take her command well. He was having a hard time keeping straight up. All he could do was snarl back.

He looked rough. Like she was draining him. Forcing him to his knees as he slowly slipped down. I could feel him submit to it. But he fraught holding his ground.

It stayed like this...for a few seconds. Haley lifted her hand to slap Desmond. "You. Will. Obey."

Pushing myself past Desmond I grab her wrist. "Stop!" And her she was gone. Her command faded and she looked at me. "Don't hurt him!"

She looks at me, confused. She looked down to her wrist and then back at me. "Do not only-" she starts and then grabs my wrist pulling me too her. "Are you gifted with magic. Why you can resist me?" She leans down to my ear and inhales, following a short giggle. "Dessy, you gotta tell me where you found her."
