Chapter 16

We finally arrive at the station and I run out and run in there, Maria follows me but waits in the reception while I'll go down to the place where I can speak to him.

I go in there and he's sat down, I run to the seat, I picked up the phone straight away and put my hand on the glass screen, soon as he looked at me he had tears in his eyes and put his hand to where my hand was on the glass screen and picked up the phone.

-German! I say crying, -angie! I have something to tell you he says getting really upset and I look at him and it brakes my heart, -I'm sentenced to 20 years in prison he said and then I realised what I felt like to have your heart shred into a million pieces.

-but..I can try and get my father to bail you we can save money and...he cut me off and sighed, -angie you can't, look I'm serving the consequences and even know how much I love you this Is what needs to be done he says crying.

-german..he cuts me off, -they once said if you loved something set it free, and...and that's what I'm doing with you...move on..for me..your beautiful and you will find someone good for you...I'm sorry angie for everything..this is the last time you see me.. He says with loads of tears streaming down his face and my face was exactly the same.

German! I say crying, please!...I shouted. He shook his head and put down the phone, he looked at me while I was shouting his name and he just cried and whispered-I love you through the glass and then removed his hand from the screen where it was and stood up. German! I shouted banging on the glass, he whispered I love you again and walked away, german! I screamed and banged on the glass again. But then he was out of my sight and my heart shattered into a million pieces.

I slid my hand down the glass screen and then sat down on the seat and put my head in my hands, german I whispered sobbing.

I felt two arms around me and hoping it was german I turned around to see....my father?

He lifts me up gently to stand up and pulls me into a hug, -everything will be fine okay- he said and I just sighed,-I'm sorry, Maria told me everything and german is a good kid I understand and I can see you love him very much so I'll try and bail him out for you my dear he said hugging me tightly.

-it's no use, he don't want it, he told me that if you love something set it free and that what he is going to do with me and he wants me to move on for him but to know that he loves me, I say crying, my father tightens his grip, -you know what he didn't say, well what he didn't finish? I look up at him confused.

-if you love something set it free but if it comes back then it's yours to keep, my father says and smiles and I smile slightly, -I just want to go home. I say and walk back to Maria's car.
