Feels Like Forever

The show was about to start and Aaron invited me backstage to watch from there. They opened with The Flood from the 2011 album. Then they played a few songs off of Restoring Force. "Good night guys, drive home safe and don't let the world bring you down." Austin told the crowd.

Now it was time for the after party. I waited backstage for Austin and when he saw me he was smiling and asked if the show was good. Of course it was good it was of mice and men I thought. "Austin it was amazing." I replied. He lifted me up and kissed me. "Well that's good because I'd want the most beautiful girl to enjoy it." he remarked. I couldn't stop blushing. That's when Alan shouted "Why don't you two get a room!" and the rest of the band laughed in agreement.

When we got to the club Austin and the band was escorted to the VIP section. We had some drinks and talked about the concert and what it's like to be on the biggest US headliner with Bring Me The Horizon. Austin pulled me aside and asked if I wanted to go back to the bus so we could talk. I said yes and he led me out of the club.

"So I know this might sound weird because we just met but I think you're gorgeous and amazing, I mean this probably sounds crazy but uh well would you like to be my girlfriend?" Austin asked in a quiet voice. He was so shy and nervous it was adorable. Instantly I told him yes. He smiled and said "Well let's make it official for the fans then." he took out his phone and took a picture of us kissing for instagram and used the caption @austincarlile: just met this amazing girl Maddie and now we're official #girlfriend

I nearly died when I saw him typing those words. Me, a no one from a small town was dating her crush of six years Austin Carlile. We were sitting in the bus watching ESPN when the boys returned. "So did you ask her yet?" asked Tino. "Yeah did you?" chimed in Phil and Aaron. "Why don't you look on instagram if you want to be nosey in my relationship." Austin said relationship in an emphasizing tone.

"WOAH! Are you seeing these comments on the picture? One says that they are glad you're happy and the one below it calls her a whore and says you're rushing things and she only wants you because you're famous." Alan said. Austin looked at me in a way as if to ask if it was true. I shook my head. Of course it wasn't true, Austin didn't have to be famous to feel a connection like this with me. Besides its not like I planned this, we just ran into each other.

The band assured me not to worry about the fans comments because they are just jealous 15 year olds who wish they were in my shoes. I told the band I should get going because I lived two hours away, but they said I could sleep on the bus with them. Austin offered me his bed and he said he would sleep on the couch. But I mean we're dating right? I told him we could share a bed. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close. He smelled a little like vodka and cologne. "I am so glad you said yes." Austin said before falling asleep.
