donghyuck never noticed how popular mark was until graduation came around. mark was the valedictorian and as he gave his speech donghyuck felt for a moment that they were just normal people.

"finally, i've learned so much throughout these four years. not just math and how to play football but about friendship, responsibilities and compassion. i especially want to thank the person who taught me what love was, even if they came into my life barely a year ago."

donghyuck doesn't move. too scared of showing any hint that mark is talking about him. mark just laughs and talks about his family, teammates and friends.

after getting his diploma, which was really just a wrapped up piece of paper, he goes and takes pictures with his best friends.

donghyuck's parents just looks so proud of him. it makes his heart swell.

"donghyuck sweetie look at the camera," jaemin's mother nags. all of his friends laugh.

renjun, jaemin, jeno and donghyuck are the only ones graduating but chenle and jisung begged to come and watch.

"they grow up so fast don't they," chenle and jisung wipe away fake tears. renjun throws his graduation cap at them.

all of his friends go and talk to classmates, taking photos with them and saying their farewells.

"hey hyuck!"

"nice speech, mark," donghyuck jokes, "didn't know you could read."

"oh shut up."

it's nice like this. they ignore their life outside of school and just have a nice conversation.

"what's the plan for summer then?" mark asks.

"maybe i'll start a band. i can sing you know," donghyuck laughs and mark thinks it's the prettiest thing he's ever heard. "i'll probably just end up lazing around like every year."

"promise you'll laze around with me," mark whispers.

"i promise."

"you're pretty, lee donghyuck."

"you're pretty, mark lee."

mark's teammates come and scoop him up saying something about how mark was the mvp of life. renjun joins donghyuck.

"ready to go, hyuck?"

"yeah, let's go," donghyuck turns around and leaves with renjun, "i'm out of this bitch!"

"finally!" jaemin exclaims joining them, "we're hanging out as much as possible this summer."
