Chapter 10: Improvements

The rest of the evening went by fast, Moblit got to rewrite the conversation and highlight the important details so it would be very easy for Erwin to understand, even though I'm sure he'll do just fine. Levi is currently training the cadets on how to properly clean. Which I find way less important than hand to hand combat itself. While all of that is happening I get to be stuck with Hanji, apparently what I said made her horny for more experiments, those were Levi's words.

I played with the pen I have while Hanji was rambling about the experiments and things she would do to Eren. In the name of science of course, somehow saying that line made the whole thing worse. Boredom kills. There I am tapping Hanji's desk repetitively with the end of my pencil, staring out of the window, wishing I was anywhere but here.

I looked over at Moblit he was in the room with us, too focused to even listen to Hanji's rambling. He somehow managed to focus only on the papers, well it's easy for him since he has something to do. While I was sitting doing nothing but listen to her rambling, maybe if I do something else than sit around I'll be able to focus and do something productive.

"WAIT!!"

I jumped from my chair, and so did Moblit who was cursing when he got ink all over his papers. I glared at Hanji in a dramatic fashion,what was it now?

"You mentioned to me that you think that the titans' original form is human right?? Why didn't you mention it in the meeting?" her voice seemed to go higher and higher by the second making me quite dizzy. It's true though I did mention that to her and the reason I didn't explain it in the meeting is simply because "I forgot, also that's the only thing that I'm not sure how I'll explain since I need solid proof"

"That's alright(Y/N) you can explain to us what you think and we'll go from there. Moblit, make sure to write what she says" She looked at me making me a bit nervous, her fiery eyes burning me alive. Both her hands cleched the chair I was sitting in her face getting dangerously close.I sank deeper into my chair and started explaining.

"My initial though is that there are three steps to become a titan shifter. You s start from being a normal human then becoming the brainless titan we know then transform to a titan shifter. I do remember when I first got brought here that I talked to Eren about it , given that he's a titan shifter perhaps he remembers the occurrences he faced to become one. I don't have concrete proof to back up what just I said that's why I didn't even think about incorporating this information to the meeting"

Hanji took a step back allowing me to breath; she rubbed her chin and looked like she had an idea. "I get it maybe there is something to do with spinal fluids, what do you think?"

"That's actually a possibility; I can't believe I didn't think about it beforehand. I think I'll have to specially make a microscope. I'm not sure that I'll be able to make it" I squeezed my temples, it's true that I like science and all but I'm not into it to the point where I'll sacrifice all of my time for it only. I'll need some help that's for sure but I want to discover this world more and learn more from it. Making a modern age microscope in a medieval time is the hardest thing ever.

It means that I'll have to turn Dr.Stone for this bitch and make everything from scratch. And I'm not willing to do that, I simply do not have the motivation for it. "You know I'll try to help you as much as I could, if it helps we can find others that can actually help us" Hanji put her hands on my shoulders slightly massaging it, seeing this soft side of her made me feel somewhat relaxed and at ease. It felt like I didn't have to go through all of this alone.

"We'll start with asking Eren and you'll have the rest of the day for yourselves. The moment you appeared here we've done nothing but use you for our own good. You're smart and you helped us that's why It's unfair for me to keep you working all the time. Now go and grab Eren for me"

I smiled at Hanji, what she said was true. I've always felt like I was being used and honestly I didn't get any rest so having this opportunity makes me so happy. I jumped up from my chair and went to find Eren. I'm sure he is in the training ground with the rest so I bolted towards there.

I arrived at the training ground every soldier fighting, I scoffed finally he's giving them some actual training that doesn't include cleaning products. I noticed Levi standing under a tree watching the cadets train, while insulting once they mess up.

"Aren't you supposed to be with Hanji?"

"I need to bring Eren to her"

"Tch, can't you just see that they are all training? I'm sure this is more important"

"It's more important actually; we're trying to figure out how Eren was transformed. We believe that the initial form of titans is human and we're trying to prove it"

He looked a bit shocked at first and immediately turned his head away. The way I said it was pretty blunt and it was expected for him to be shocked. I bet it was extremely hard to swallow but I didn't want to beat around the bush either. After getting out of his distressed state he yelled at Eren and ordered him to join us. The boy was freighted at first and to be honest I wouldn't judge him.

The moment he was in front of us, he saluted Levi and asked if he have done something wrong, poor guy. Levi didn't waste no time and explained to him the whole overdeal, he visibly relaxed.

"We just want to ask you a few questions it won't be long" I explained to him and he nodded. He walked besides me and we had some small talk along the way, we finally arrived and he looked a bit uncomfortable the moment he got in. I know how you feel buddy. Hanji on the other hand got excited when Eren got in the room , I didn't want him to suffer any longer from the crazy scientist so I asked him immediately and took control from there .

"Eren, the reason we brought you here is to tell us what you remember. What you encountered to become a titan shifter or perhaps what you believe happened. Don't stress youself if you don't remember just take your time " As always I was blunt with my requests and questions. I simply don't want to waste any time.

"I do actually remember, sometimes I get some flashbacks from time to time"

"What Exactly do you remember Eren?"

Eren looked disconnected almost like he was reliving all of the memories

"I remember my father taking me to the forest after the breach and injecting me with a syringe, but I don't rememberwhat happened next"
