"Izuku Midoriya and Tokoyami Fumikage tie for third place! With Shoto Todoroki not far ahead, scoring second! But today, our winner here is Katsuki Bakugo!"

Midoriya didn't go accept his medal. He was too busy having his whole world crumble. He'd thought his two words were separate and would stay that way forever, but apparently not. He didn't need so many people staring at him at a time like this, especially not Bakugo. 

He'd stopped calling him Kacchan after the whole "All Might" incident. Speaking of, he did know of All Might's secret. It was always... awkward when he saw him in the halls. He didn't even think about it, but perhaps he'd be able to use it to get himself out of some sticky situation later- THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR BATTLE STRATEGY, MIDORIYA!

He ended up getting his medal from his homeroom teacher after claiming he was puking when they were presenting them. 

Shinso was pretty... critical of Midoriya in the following days, no, weeks. There was literally nothing he knew of that'd would connect Midoriya and rabbits? Damn you, Hatsume.

Hatsume, on the other hand, didn't even hear from him until the week after. And even then, it was just a text message.

Midoriya: Hey,, Hatsume,, I'm sorry abt avoiding you... 

Hatsume: dude dont worry about it! whats going on though?

Midoriya: I'll tell u later,, how abt that??

Hatsume: okay sure! see you at school then?

And then there was no response.

Nothing would have happened if he'd just been more careful! He'd hadn't even gone out once since the festival, but of course! He can't fix his past careless mistakes, now can he?

And this was all just because of one knock on the door.
