Midoriya ran out of Hatsume's house, no actually fuck that, it's a fuckin mansion. He didn't know where he was going, but eventually found a window close enough to the ground he felt comfortable jumping out of to get out. After that, he didn't know where he was going. He just ran, and ran, and ran, until he was greeted by a familiar scene. He ended up just sitting beside the all too familiar river, in the all too familiar forest, trying desperately to calm himself.

"Deku? The fuck are you doing here?" Venom laced in his voice, begging for a reaction. Izuku turned around to see Bakugo standing there. He hadn't heard him approach.

"Nothing, Kacchan. I was just enjoying the river."

Bakugo smirked. "Enjoying the river? Really?"

"What are you doing here, then?"

It took him off guard. "None of your business, shitty Deku."

Midoriya chuckled. "You really never change, Kacchan."

"You wanna go?" He showed off his quirk.

"If you wanna fight, I'll fight!"

"I'm not inviting you to fight, I'm inviting you to take a beating!" He lunged himself at Izuku, with him barely dodging the explosions and falling into the river.

"Oh great, now I'm fuckin wet!" He frowned.

"How fucking dare you dodge?"

"But Kacchan! It's supposed to be fun for both of us!"

"No it fucking isn't! It's supposed to be fun for me, you're supposed to be begging for your life!"

"Wow, thanks Kacchan!"

He knew he couldn't dodge all day, especially with Bakugo. He was getting tired, and Bakugo's blast range was way too close for comfort. With all the noise, it didn't take long for people to take notice of them, and a crowd started to form.

"Isn't that that Bakugo kid? What's he doin attackin that kid?"

"Wait, isn't that Midoriya from the sports festival? I heard he was quirkless!"

"Doesn't mean he ain't strong, but still, I don't understand why someone would attack him."

"Isn't using your quirk in public illegal? Like, especially if you're not a hero?"

"Yeah, technically. Don't see why he'd knowingly break the law, though."

"Maybe they got beef with each other or something."

"Whatever y'all, I'm callin the police!"

He'd been distracted by the crowd. Bakugo took advantage of this by literally sneaking up on him and sending an explosion right in his side. 

He didn't feel anything, which was the first red flag that went off in his head. He didn't look, he just looked at Bakugo, then the crowd, then he just closed his eyes as pain was starting to set in. He could only think of Bakugo's horrified face of what he'd done while everything faded out.

Inko was the first to find out. She couldn't, no, didn't want to believe it. Katsuki was a nice little boy, right? She rushed to the hospital, desperate to see her son. The receptionist gave her a worried glance when she asked where he was.

"He was just in surgery, ma'am, I don't think it's a good idea-"

A doctor walked down the hall, spotting Inko. "Excuse me, you must be Ms. Midoriya?"
